I Just Saw Inglorious Basterds. Excellent. David Bowie.
I just saw Quintin Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds and it was great! If you're a Tarantino fan you'll love it. No time to write a review so that's about it. Check it out.
And great use of the Bowie song Cat People (Putting Out The Fire) in the movie. I couldn't find a good version on Youtube so here's a GREAT live version of Heroes:

I have a 45 of that song packed away somewhere- love it. I really like the movie too (Cat People, haven't seen IB yet).
Inglorious is on my list of "see it in the theater". Tarantino is the schiszy as was a younger Bowie.
Must. See. Basterds.
You won't be disappointed.
I just saw the trailer this week, and it's a must see. Brad Pitt really "camps" it up. Can't wait.
Thank you so much for commenting on my blog the other day. We printed it out and built a little shrine around it.
You know what would be really cool would be if someone threw a lollipop, dum-dum, or tootsie-pop up onstage during the show and it impaled his eye.
Oh, that's been done? Damn, I'm always behind on the trends.
lol on that last comment...
Ok I am living in a freakin' hole I guess. I don't even know what that is? is it a movie, crap, now I have to google it..
(hiding my head in shame) great song though!
I will probably just wait for it to come out on DVD, as I do with most movies.
Oh, David Bowie. How I love thee.
I'm so happy to hear what you said about the new QT movie. I'd read that it was a bit of a departure from his usual thing so I wondered if it would still have the magic.
I love Bowie too. I saw him live in 1974 in Upper Darby PA. I wrote about it here.
MikeB - a you saw Bowie at the Tower Theater? I didn't know you were from the Philly area.
We planned on going last night but couldn't get a sitter...Maybe next weekend. I'm stoked to see it.
I grew up in Elizabeth NJ, lived in a bunch of places in the States, then moved to Italy 20 years ago.
I may go see it, but is it long? I can't take long movies.
Ah...putting out fire with gasoline. What a great way to look at things. Love it!
Aaah Bowie !! Will see Inglorious B. pretty soon !
Am very curious to see what Tarantino has been up too !
