Vince from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Vince Schiavelli was great in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest....

But could you imagine if you came around a corner and saw him. You have to admit..it would be frightening.

Don't lie. Admit it.

No lie here, I admit it freely.

The dude was super-creepy looking!

Nah...he will always be Mr. Vargas from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" telling me to give him a break because he was off caffeine.

Quick Trivia - the actress who played his wife in that film, Lana Clarkson, was the woman that Phil Spector killed back in 2003. I shit you not.

Shit I would run fast in the other direction.

I can't remember the first thing I saw him in, but I remember thinking he was the creepiest looking guy I ever saw. Then he got lots of "nice guy" parts, and I got used to his face. Go figure.

It's the white under the iris in his eyes. That accentuates the creepiness. Among other things.

He was super creepy in Ghost (as the subway ghost).

OK I can seriously personally attest to this one. I went to California ONCE in my life in 1988 or 89 to visit one of my best friends with another of my best friends. The friend that lived there was an employee of a Disney owned entity so we did the obligatory free Disneyland trip.

While there, near the Matterhorn or something like that ride (one that they don't have at Disney World where I went a million times living in FL), we saw him eating ice cream. He was wearing a fanny pack turned frontwards, was a bit chunkier and already starting to bald.

I said, "Hey, that's that guy...the teacher from Ferris Bueller! (of course I was mistaken, he was in Fast Times)".

Honestly, he wasn't frightening. Kind of pathetic actually, watching the ice cream drip onto his shirt.

So that was my one brush with "fame". I need to get out more!

I dd bump into him once, almost literally. I was behind him on a line at the American Express office in Rome when I first moved here about 20 years ago. We chatted. It was neat.

I always think of him in those opening moments of Amadeus.

Isn't that Horshack?

Ron Palillo missed a golden opportunity, then.

He is one freaky looking guy. How does someone like that decide to be an actor?

Dr Zibbs said...

Dominica - he's probably creepier now.

Because he's dead.

He was married to Allyce Beasley, who played Miss DePesto, (the secretary) on "Moonlighting." Can you imagine what their poor children must look like? Talk about scary!!
