Remember this classic by the Marshall Tucker Band? Heard It In A Love Song.
And here's another classic. "Can't You See". As in "Can't You See How Great This Blog Is?" Which song do you like better?

And what memories do you have of these songs?
Something about a man playing the flute....
mmm mmm mmmmm
Seriously, "Can't You See" is one of those songs you belt out in the car on that first warm day, windows down (or top), hair blowing....
Summer. GET HERE!!
JenJen - you like the flute huh?
Wait a minute..do I know you from band camp?
Can't you see is one of the great songs of all times.
I need one of those cowboy hats. Zibbs, you going to Victory today?
JMUonty - Agreed. I don't think I'm going there but tweet when you're there and maybe I will.
Zibbs. My 9 and 10 year old want me to take them there to get a pretzel. Maybe this afternoon.
I'm a fan of both songs and everything to do with the Marshall Tucker Band. I sang "Heard it in a Love Song" a few months ago during karaoke night. I tend to get real Country/Southern Rock on karaoke nights, for some reason.
When I was younger I thought they were saying "Dirty little Love song."
Whit "Heard It In A Love Song" you can't go wrong.
Or is the song 10 feet long?
JMUmonty - your KIDS are going to Victory? Seems like they might not undertand that when I talk, they stop talking and start listening. Please email a cerification that they understand this important priciple.
BE Earl - I'd like to try this Karaoke thing but my parents said anything Japanese is foreign and potentially dangerous.
My memories are recent. Husband listens to MTB and this era of southern progressive rock ALL.THE.TIME. So forgive me if I'm a little sick of it. But I do get a lift when I hear "Love Song." Never get tired of that one.
Husband's memories are a bit more distant. He saw MTB at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston along with Charlie Daniels Band and Atlantic Rhythm Section... all for $10!
PHD - $10? Excellent.
Fun Fact: I saw the Marshall Tucker Band at a local "fest" the night I got engaged! Yep, no fancy dinners or carriage rides...just a good old fest...haha...ah, memories.
ps...They were awesome!
Both of them make me want to attend a kegger, preferably in the woods, where I will meet a young man who insists that I sit on his lap.
Sigh.
Pearl
Peggy - nice.
Pearl - You like when guys insist that you sit on their laps? Interesting.
