Weird Dream About A Production of the Wizard of Oz. Dancing.
I had this really weird dream last night. There was this enormous outdoor stadium and they were holding auditions for the Wizard of Oz.
Since I used to do a goofy imitation of the Scarecrow back in the day I decided to try out for the part. I knew I could get the dancing down pat. Then I realized that I'm not the best singer. I'd have to work on that part. And it also hit me that instead of doing the goofy ass version of the Scarecrow I'd have to do a serious version.
And what about the costumes? What if my costume looked like the one above? And the whole production is second rate and cheesy? Even though for such a huge venue it couldn't be THAT bad. Right? Right?
It was too late to back out and I was getting all nervous that I was gonna look like an ass and there would me thousands of people watching me do "theater". And we all know how gay THAT can be.
So the rest of my dream was me practicing singing and dancing to, "If I only had a brain."
Pretty weird huh?

..and if the director is some stuck up prick forget that too!
I'm the star of this show!
Could it possibly be the second coming of the Return to Oz? You ever see that movie? Scary shit. Seriously. But I ate it up for breakfast when it came out.
No singing involved. But lots of scary wheelies. And quick sand.
Oh I'm going to have nightmares tonight. Thanks Zibbs.
zibbsy, what is it really that's bothering you? Is it death? No matter what you do, you're going to die just like the rest of us. There now, feel better?
Stacey - The Return of Oz? Never heard of that but I will look it up. I know he wrote several Oz books.
Diane - Who knows what's wrong with me?
This is definitely some form of post-traumatic stress syndrome from Friday night at Victory. It totally makes sense.
If that blue yak tries to graze on your head I'd look for some hidden surgery scars because somebody probably took your brain, filled your head with hay and then sold it on ebay...well it IS one interpretation of the dream...
*giggle* What did YOU eat before bed?!
AbelPet - I'd say no because nobody was TALKING REALLY LOUDLY.
VE - yeah that's probably it.
Me - Chicken wings and red wine. But come to think of it I was watching the Grammys right before I went to bed so maybe that was it.
You're too tall to play a flying monkey, but at least go for the Cowardly Lion. You have the range.
& creepy picture. it reminds me of of the 80s made for tv horror movie 'the dark night of the scarecrow'? you ever see that? scary shit.
It was loosely based on the 2nd two novels, done by Disney instead of MGM.

Kristen - Yeah. I could do the Lion. I wouldn't want to do the Tinman. Too boring. As for the movie, never heard but I'll look it up.
Stacy - thanks. I'm gonna check this out later too.
in case you're too busy, plot summary for DNOTS:
"A retarded man is unjustly accused of attacking a young girl. Disguised as a scarecrow, he hides in a cornfield, only to be hunted down and shot. Later, after it is revealed he saved the girl from a vicious dog attack, members of the search posse are killed by a mysterious scarecrow."
Kristen - that movie just moved to the top of my list.
wow... still that would have been better than the dream I had of being swallowed by a whale and slowly drowning in its belly.
Not to steal your dream rant, but I had a dream last night that I threw up and a when I looked in the toilet, a goldfish was swimming around. I was all messed up because I couldn't decide whether to flush or get him out and put in our fish tank. My husband thought I was really weird when I told him. Really, I'm a normal person. I swear.
Oh man, just be glad that you're not having some of the dreams that these other characters are. Hey, I have an idea, maybe you think that the Grammys are some kind of an overrated production with a bunch of ammateurs. Nah, that's just too far fetched.
word ver. zincycom I swear
Carnie - see. That could be your first blog post. Why don't you start a blog?
What do you say everyone?
(guy in the stock room) Yeah I think Carnie should start a blog. Or what about Twitter? You can follow Dr Zibbs on Twitter @DrZibbs
If I ever take the time to join Twitter, you'll be the first I follow!
Carnie - well I hope you do, It takes 5 minutes to set up. I thought it was stupid at first but now I love it.
Your dream is nothing, my old lady had a dream that a tractor was driving through our yard one night last week - she woke up and realized that it was just her snoring.
Sornie - don't make things up.
Sornie I'm just kidding. Did that really happen? Be honest now..
