If You're Not Watching The Simpsons Tonight You A Dummy

How many of my readers out there are Simpsons fans? Around my house, the Simpsons are the show to watch. Sunday night dinner has to be over before 7:45 if there's a new Simpsons on. Tonight is the new Treehouse of Horror. Can't wait for it. If you want to read a great post on the THOH that Beckeye did for Starpulse.com, click here.

As for a few of my favorite characters, I'd have to go with Homer, Mr Burns, Flanders, Mo, Hans Moleman and Cletus.

Who are yours?

  1. Chief Wiggum always cracks me up, and so do Disco Stu and Professor Frink.

  3. Homer is clearly the star, but I also like Ralph Wiggum, Barney, and like you say, Hans Moleman.

  4. Has to be Ralph. Everything he says is eminently quotable. Also, Chief Wiggum and Frink.

  5. Apu is the man to beat.

  6. Where else would I be? Favorite episode? "You only move twice", I've always wanted to work for a Hank Scorpio, and who can forget Gordie in Bart's remedial class? "I moved here from Ca-na-da, and dey tink I'm slooow, eh?"

Favorite character, I have to relate to Milhouse the most, I always somebody's sidekick. Favorite of his quotes? "I'm not a nerd!......nerds are smart...."

  7. Can't wait for the Simpsons to come on, tonight. And I almost never watch tv any longer. I'm a Marge and Lisa fan. I've dated enough Homers and Barts to know better...

  8. My favorite character is either Krusty or Mr. Burns. I'm a big fan of alcoholic entertainers with gambling problems and cartoonishly evil plutocrats. It just depends on who made me laugh last.

  9. Such a huge number of great characters, it's hard to choose. I think I'm married to Homer's twin brother, so I guess I have to like him best. I also love Smithers' double-entendres and Cletus's redneck stupidity. Apu is awesome, too ("Thank you, come again!").

A friend of mine does excellent Simpsons character impressions. He can do everyone from Apu to Chief Wiggum to Flanders and Cletus.... and once did a very creditable impression of Apu doing an impression of Chief Wiggum. Had us all rolling on the floor laughing.

  10. I LOVE Ralph. I love them all, really. It's scary how much I know about the Simpsons and it only proves how much I need a life.

I missed tonight's episode after waiting all day for it because I was on the computer doing stupid stuff.

    I am an idiot.

  11. Whiskey - it was a good one. We started about by watching 4 previous Tree House of Horror episodes. Good Times.

  12. Yep, everyone beat me already. Damn it. My favorite is, hands down, no question about it, Ralph.

    Second is Ned Flanders.

  13. Stupid Sexy Flanders.

My favorites are Apu and Nelson, I think.

  15. Ralph's my favorite, too. To all this adulation, he'd probably say, "You choo-choo-chose me?"

  16. Enc - "Stupid Sexy Flanders" is one of my favorite lines ever. It's up there with, "Disco Stu doesn't advertise."

  18. I often find myself saying "Everything's coming up Milhouse!" whenever a good thing happens. I'm a big fan of that poor little loser.

And "Stupid Sexy Flanders" gets a lot of play with me too. Hell, about 75% of my day to day conversations are composed from various Simpson's quotes.

  19. this episode was hilarious. The grand Pumpkin throwing up and shouting REVENGE and when Milhouse stopped the iPod music and it sounded liek a record scratching to a stop was the best part.

Milhouse and Cletus are a few of my faves.

"Hey ma! Look at that pointy hairded little girl!"
