Sometimes In These Crazy Times We Forget The Special Things

Never forget.....

The Lost Saucer *

Sure. Everyone remembers Dr Shrinker and Bigfoot and Wildboy from the Krofft Supershow but to tell you the truth, I've never heard The Lost Saucer brought up in conversation. And I talk to a lot of people too! I wonder why?

*10 points to the dummy that can name the Jim Nabors and Ruth Buzzi characters.

  1. Fi (Buzzi) and Fum (Nabors)

I loved Lost in Space as a kid but my parents refused to let me watch it because it supposedly gave me horrible nightmares. Apparently I was a pussy.

Your 10 points will be spent on therapy.

  2. What about Space Nuts?

    "I said 'lunch' NOT 'launch!!"

    Classic.

    I may need professional help.

  3. I wasn't allowed to watch that show. Wasn't age appropriate.

    HAPPY CHILLY MONDAY!

  5. Jennifer- it wasn't "age appropriate"??? It was for 7 - 12 year olds and was on Saturday morning. Are you getting in mixed up with Lost in Space? Laugh In? Love American Style?

  6. I either remember it or I'm having an acid flashback, it's hard to tell sometimes.

I think their characters were Nutsack and Trudy... although this would've been easier with multiple choice.

    Maybe not.

  9. I can't name the characters (Katrocket won the prize anyway), but I can sing the entire. Dr. Shrinker song.

They just don't make kids' shows like they used to. Now it's all this quasi-violent, soft-porn Asian-y themed stuff that's sprinkled with heroine. I think the kids get addicted to it... (btw, I have nothing against "Asian-y" stuff in general.)

  12. Couldn't name the characters, but I'm pretty sure they had a pet that was half-dog and half-horse called Dorse. I could be thinking of something else though.

  13. Why do I not know this one? I grew up around the same time as you and lived for TV.. Yet I can't recall this one. At first I thought it was from that H&R Puffin Stuff..Remember that one?

  14. The Lost Saucer? Hmmm...was that about that time I spilled my rum toddy onto my cup's saucer and then hid it under my sister-inlaw's chair so she wouldn't find out?

Yeah. I bet that was it.

  17. I may be most pathetic of all considering I have an episode of this show as part of my Krofft video collection. On VHS.
