Sausage Sandwich Recipe Is So Simple It's Retarded

Mmmm. Here's a sausage sandwich I made. Here's the simple recipe:

Ingredients
Sausage (hot or mild)
olive oil
pepper
salt
garlic powder
onions
hot peppers
American Cheese
long roll

OK, this is so simple that anyone can make it.

- Saute onion in olive oil, then garlic. Add salt and, pepper and garlic powder. Remove from pan.
- Cook sausage in same pan until outside is brown.
- Before hand, broil long, hot peppers under broiler until skins are black. Place in paper bag for 15 minutes to steam then remove skins.
- Place American cheese on long roll and broil until cheese is slightly melted.
- Put sausage, onions, garlic and peppers on roll.
- Add Tabasco or horseradish if you please.

Enjoy.

  8. Looks good but try not adding the salt and using real minced garlic instead of garlic powder. The sausage will have salt in it as will the cheese so it's totally unnecessary.

  14. sweet mother of holy fucks thats looks good, seriously good. You could cook that for me any time.
BUT being the snobbish cheese European that I am, I would go for emmantal cheese or Jarlsberg. Mainly because when i think american cheese I think krafts cheese and thats just wrong.

  15. Alright dumbasses for getting on mu ass for using American chee. This was a throw together meal. OK? Do you get it?

Chele - I'm not talking to you. Emmantal sounds tasty.

  16. And what's wrong with God fearing American cheese? When dealing with melting, it does a good job. And that wasn't a fancy sandwich calling for a fancy cheese. It needed a role player. The sausage was the star.

  17. hey what did I do wrong? that´s uncalled for.
Is it because I forgot to wish you happy birthday the other day? or because of my kraft cheese comment?
    clarification please.

  23. I made your recipe last night and it was really delicious! But I get heartburn easily, so I substituted steak for the sausage, went with wild rice in place of the long roll, and used steamed broccoli in place of the hot peppers.

Thanks for a winning meal suggestion!

  24. That's really difficult because I don't own a broiler.
Does that make me retarded? lol
