Here's a video that the blogger Words, Words, Words sent me. It's a remake of the already crappy video "Separate Ways" by the "as crappy as REO Speedwagon group" Journey. It's cheese-alicious".
Oh, this is just freakin' PRICELESS. The 80s were really that bad, weren't they? I want that dude's hairpiece. Not sure what the eff I'd do with it, but I must have it.
I don't think they put much money into making videos back then. Maybe they didn't have much left over after the big coke party, if you know what I'm saying. And if they made videos after doing that stuff, they probably thought they were genius; you know how people get when they're on that stuff.
My husband won't let go of his mullet - I'd made the mistake of admiring Mel Gibson's hair in Lethal Weapon when it came out and he's kept it like that ever since. The guy has a number of time zones he's stuck in for various things. It's the 70's for music.

I agree with Robin. The wig "Neal Schon" wears is tops. I also like the all-in-a-row head turns. These dudes are selling it.
ReplyDeleteEh...I dig Journey

ReplyDeleteI suddenly really want my 80's mullet back, but my wife won't let me and I have a horrible feeling I'd just get it tangled in my helmet.
ReplyDeleteSo to speak.
The Jules - lets see pics of that mullet.

ReplyDeleteIf only as much dedication and forethougth went into the original.
ReplyDeleteI bet you more manhours were spent on the remake than the original.
Cheeseball! It did remind me how much I loved that song, though. Ahhhh, youth.
ReplyDeleteSpiffy wigs. (snicker.) Now I feel the urge to go to the roller skating rink.
ReplyDeleteMan that video was bad! The remake is great! They did a great job! Have you ever seen that horrible Billy Squire video-Rock Me Tonight? horrible!
