I'm in too much of a rush to dedicate the Friday Send Off Song bitches so here's Guns N' Roses doing Sweet Child O' Mine.
Did you used to hide behind a log pile when it looked like it was about to rain like Axel and me? Yeah - you did. Who didn't if you think about it?
So crank this one up and start dancing until your loved ones come in and ask, "What the HELL are you doing?" Then - shamefully turn off your computer and go back to cleaning things up or whatever else you were pretending to do. But remember - that I love you.
Most of you.

Wow. That took me back to eighth grade. Hanging at Asa Bowling's house, playing pool, eating KFC, and beating Contra. Awesome. Thanks, Zibbs, for the trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteNow, to go wash those memories away with alcohol!
Axle makes me want to hurl. I have hated him ever since that concert with Metallica, when James Hetfield got burned by the pyrotechnics & couldn't finish the set. Axle could have gone on and saved the day, but he refused, and so a riot ensued. A lot of people got hurt that night. The guy's a waste of skin.
ReplyDeleteI love Guns N' Roses so much. Awesome. Even the new Axl-only album has worthy moments. "Appetite For Destruction" was recently included on my Five Favorite Albums Of All Time.
ReplyDeleteLove that song. Weird though, I remember going to a lot of parties and hearing that song, don't remember leaving very many of 'em though.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a crush on Axl Rose when I was little, so much so that I named my cat after him. That's devotion for you.
ReplyDeleteI still love the Appetite for Destruction and Use Your Illusion albums
Hope you're going to post about your night out. Are you hungover today?
*types quietly, just in case*
I think in all times of haste, you should immediately dedicate it all to me.
ReplyDeleteEspecially anything involving 80s hair metal bands.
ReplyDeleteThis song will always remind me of the first time I did karaoke after moving to Japan. I even did the Axl feet shuffle.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend could always do the Axl dance so good...I was always jealous of her...she can and does do it every time we are out together and hear this song...youngish middle age moms can still rock the house too people!
ReplyDeleteps - I always carried a top hat around in my bag so I could be Slash to her Axl.
This post is dedicated to Greta.
ReplyDeleteIt takes about two drinks but after that I can do the Axl shuffle, too! I do it so well that you can almost see the mike stand.
ReplyDeleteFunny, the 80's music is mostly just a blur to me - I was awfully busy having babies.
ReplyDeleteJeanie - I was too busy gettin' it on - awww yeah!
ReplyDeleteWonder how many skanks these guys nailed back in the day? I'm going with lots.
ReplyDeleteI always liked Slash. That little hat he wore was just so sassy!
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have seen this yesterday. I have loved Axl for years. Young Axl is one of the sexiest men to have ever lived, drug-addiction, domestic violence or not.
ReplyDeletemy favorite song of theirs is my michele and back off bitch. This is also good though. No thoughts on their new stuff?
ReplyDeletegirl interrupted, I had a hamster named after him. We should make out.
Have you seen Axl recently? He needs to hide behind that wood pile now more than ever..
ReplyDeleteHey everyone - It's Jon!
ReplyDeleteI hear you brother.
And as for your disappearing it's very odd that you, Fawl and McGone all went away kind of around the same time.
I miss those days.
