Tenacious D and Special Thing With Lee

As you know, I'm the ultimate Tenacious D fan. Here's Tenacious D doing "Special Thing" when they were singing with their new friend Lee.

It's before Jack Black was famous you know. Brilliant.

So what do you think? I've seen this video at least 500 times.

Any other fans out there?

  1. That's (almost) the gayest thing I've ever seen. Almost.

    My word ver is: toscrum

Toscrum: the hinky feeling you get when you listen to 3 guys singing a gay song.

  3. JJ!!!! It's supposed to be gay!

Maybe you need to see it in context of the skethces.

  4. I always loved Kyle better than JB. He's funny, plus he's got those awesome chunky turkey legs which makes it even better.

  5. Well...if it's supposed to be gay, that's different. ; )

I've only heard of Tenacious D but have no personal experience. And Jack Black creeps me out like you wouldn't believe, so the odds of that happening are pretty slim.

  7. Personally I don't like to think about the dark and dreary existence before Jack Black was famous. I prefer to think that he has always existed, and has always been famous.

  8. Their corniness makes my skin crawl in a very delicious way. If Jack Black weren't so damn talented I wouldn't like him a bit.

  9. I saw JB and the balding guy performing together on a late night show awhile back, maybe a year ago? I didn't get it. Now I do.

  10. I saw them in concert a couple of years ago, one of the best nights of my life.

I would like to have Jack Black's little love babies

  11. The Lee episode was one of my favorites. You've seen my YouTube video of "Karate", right?

Anytime someone says the words "city hall" I automatically break out into song. "All you people up the-ere. At City Hall. You're fuckin' it up for the people that's in the streets!"

  12. Girl Interupted - I've seen them twice.. you MUST rent the video and watch all of their early stuff.

Some Guy - When I hear the word City Hall I think of saying the same thing out loud. But I'm a bit more mature then you.

  13. Yeah TD rule. I learned to play Fuck Her Gently on the acoustic guitar a few years ago. Really went down well at parties, that did. Well, not with the ladies, but you get the picture.

  14. These guys are so funny. In Greatest Song In The World (A Tribute), the bit when Jack Black rips off his shirt creases me every time I watch it.

  15. I thought the D was always just JB and KD. I remember one time when Sasquatch tried to join up on the drums...his playing was kickass, but they didn't want a third.

I judge a persons sense of humor based on whether or not they laugh the first time they listen to F*** her gently.

  16. I was the one that taught Cain And Jables the mysterious benefits of Cock Pushups. Of course, I could do two...out there on Jesus Ranch.

..that was of course after we realized that it wasn't LSD, but EPT, and that mine was positive.

(on 2nd thought, you better tell them it was Sasquatch)

  17. When I hear this song I change the lyrics to "Well, me and Dr. Z, now that's a special thing."

I'm really surprised I'm the first person to admit this because I KNOW all your 203 readers do the same thing.

  21. Jack Black "srooming" with a Susquatch, love that scene.
He was great in King Kong, too. So slimy.

  29. Oh hell yea, when they act like they don't give a shit about Lee and then later do a 180 degree turnaround and turn into obsessive lunatics and show up at his house and shit???
