Singing While Driving and Using Ventriloquism. Weird.

When you guys are driving and singing, then you get to a red light but you really want to keep singing - do you ever keep singing but get all ventriloquist by trying to sing without moving your lips?

....but then some some dude sees you so you get your phone and you pretend you're talking to someone but you think the guy is totally on to you so you give him the finger?

....and the finger is not even high enough for him to see but doing this plus hitting the gas as soon as the light turns green somehow gives you some sort of satisfaction?

You all do that right?....Right?.....Hello???

If not I fear that I might be a teensy bit weird.

  1. Without a doubt, you are more than a tiny bit weird. But not for the reason above. There are a whole slew of other reasons ;)

  2. I would like to add my comment also. Just based on the above post, i would conclude you are a tiny, just a little, tiny bit weird. Just a little, though.

  5. I do not do this.

And I'm also scratching my nose, not picking it.

And I'm also not masturbating...I'm jiggling my stick shift.

Just ignore the porn on my steering wheel.

  6. I don't think you're a teensy bit weird, I think you're a big bit weird. But I only like weird people, so I mean that as a compliment.

  7. I actually enjoy acting a bit "off kilter" and having a fake argument with myself at stop lights. It is great fun to peek out of the corner of my sunglasses and see people staring in disbelief at me!

  8. I never said I wasn't weird. If I was normal I wouldn't be hooked on your page. And as for YOU, Cameron, I'll deal with you later, go to your room.

  9. Pffft! I just sing anyway. If I look stupid, oh well, what else is new?

  10. I just keep singing because A) I have no shame and B) I'll probably never see that person again. Let them think that I'm weird - it is the truth after all.

  11. okay, i'll be the first to admit it. i do the ventriloquist thing. i have a friend who was busted singing along to Journey at a red light and he didn't have a cell phone to fall back on.
so he used his wallet and pretended it was a phone.

  14. I am very self-conscious about embarrassing myself publicly. I try to keep a low profile and not bring a lot of attention to myself by doing silly things. Anyone who reads my blog knows this.

  15. Some Guy - I almost spit my drink out on that one.

  16. There are certain people that count on your weirdness for their daily enjoyment, and embrace it.

  17. If I found that totally normal, that would probably mean that I'm weird, right?

  18. I'd probably get shot if I gave someone the finger so I stay clear of it.

I don't work in the nicest neighborhood if ya know what I mean!

  19. Weird is really a relative term.

My kids love catching someone at a red light singing away like there is no one watching.
They call it "ON STAGE". They'll say, "look mom- that guy is so totally on stage."

I've been caught a few times on stage myself. I just roll with it.

  20. Candy - on stage you say??

I guess it could be kinda cool if I brought some costumes in my car and...

    Oh nevermind.

  21. When I get busted talking or singing to myself, I pretend I'm on a hands free call or that one of my kids is in the backseat. Oh the joys of tinted windows.

  22. Is it weirder if I don't at all try to hide that I am busting out to Spice Girls or Carrie Underwood or Wham and just keep on belting it out?

    Thought so.

  23. Hey everyone- look how weird Lilu is...

  24. Okay... yes you are weird because you only gives you SOME sort of satisfaction when for ME it's comparable to an orgasm... just saying!

    :)

I laughed so hard at the trying to still sing but not moving your lips... ha! I do that!

  25. Pretty damn weird. But in a good way. Takes one to know one.

  26. weird is better than boring or mainstream --
I might be boring and you might be weird ; but we ARE NOT mainstream !!

  28. I sang with my lips closed *just* last week...after being seriously busted by the guy laughing at me.

You are not weird at all.

(or maybe we both are weird, but I doubt it)

  29. I definitely do that

    But you're still weird.
