I remember seeing Corey Feldman doing his Michael Jackson style dancing years ago and it was very, very hard to watch.
I just watched this and actually turned a bit red because it's so embarrassing. You've go to watch this whole thing.
And look at the lady at 36 seconds in. Is she thinking, "Oh my God, what a Michael Jackson rip off." or "Oh my God, I can't believe how great he is."
Also, note the move at 1:44. What the fuck is this???? I'm cracking up just analyzing this crap. Jesus Christ!
And if you can't watch this at work, check it out when you get home.
Is it possible for this to get better everytime you watch it?
ReplyDeleteYup!
"I can't bear to see you look so scared"...perfect words for a shockingly awful performance.
ReplyDeleteOK It's final...
ReplyDelete..the moves from 16 - 26 seconds? I'm going to be rehearshing that all weekend.
God is that a classic.
I hope I'm not stating the obvious here but Feldman spent a lot of time as a kid with MJ and they even went out dressed alike a lot. I'm not surprised at all by this video. Amused by its ridiculosity, but not surprised.
ReplyDeleteCorey's always been an odd one but I felt better about him after he testified against MJ in 2005. Jam on.
I just had to retweet this... UNBELIEVABLE.
ReplyDeleteI can't look away.
I re-posted this today too! It's so frightening yet impossible to look away from. I love that lip-syncing successfully is really not a concern of Mr. Feldman's. It's all about those sweet sweet moves.
ReplyDeleteCan't breathe.. so amazing.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't make it through the whole thing. Just. too. awful!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD!
ReplyDeleteI feel sick to my stomach!
ah yes.. corey wanted SO bad to be his buddy MJ there in the late 80's/early 90s....
ReplyDeletehe used to pull that schtick everywhere he went...
I kinda love you for posting this. I've never seen it but I imagine it gets better and better. And yes, that "move" at 1:44 - that may be the best few seconds of anything.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, the skipping thing at 1:44 is hilarious! And Megan Carr is so right, his lip syncing stinks.
ReplyDeleteThat first part is from the most important self-help VHS of our time. "Mr. T's: Be Somebody, or Be Somebody's Fool". That movie got me through a lot of hard times. If you havn't seen it, you need to. I think you can still get the whole thing on Google Video. I had it on a beta tape copied from my neighbors VHS. Seriously, its amazing. (And Fergie is in it, and Bobby Brown)
ReplyDeleteHow old IS this footage? And, more importantly, is he chewing gum in the midst of lip synching? *snort*
ReplyDeleteDigging the hair...come on, the whole thing wasn't that bad.
ReplyDeleteI can't decide which is worse - the lip syncing or the rip-off moves or the rip-off military ensemble.
ReplyDeleteThe boy's got moves. Stupid ones.
ReplyDeleteYou know, it just occurred to me how much I hated him on that reality show he was on, and how he was "it's all about me". Even forcing his girlfriend to get married on the show. What a scmuck.
ReplyDeleteHe was so tuned in to his MJ moves, that he was missing every cue for his lip syncing. Fantastically awful!
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonder someone from the 1st Cav. didn't rip that patch off his shoulder and crap it up his ass.
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought we had some "bad ass lip-syncing/steal those moves from a real popstar" kind of groups in Europe ...!!
ReplyDeleteMilli Vanilli was such a group ; after it came out they weren't the original singers and they lip-synched everything, 1 of the guys killed himself ; for real !
The hair made me think again of that other terrible German invention : Modern Talking !
Glossy lips ALL the way ...
Dr Zibbs, you just inspired me ; gonna do a post on those 2
...
Kimmie - I know. I love how you can tell he's think about his dancing the entire time.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't watch the whole thing, that was just sad :(
ReplyDeleteOh Corey! You so crazee.
ReplyDeleteFancy - you will go back and watch it!
ReplyDeleteThis was at the Improv. Maybe it was supposed to be one of those weird comedy routines, like Andy Kauffman was known for?
ReplyDeleteNah...
Those moves were so freaking FRESH! And that voice? The angels must be jealous as hell. I wish YouTube had an option that allowed you to play videos on a non-stop loop. I've watched it 12 times and just can't get enough. Corey forever!
ReplyDeleteYou thing thats bad, check out this vid!!

Blanche - I saw that one the other day too. Terrible.
ReplyDeleteWhere we all breathe a collective sigh of relief that we weren't child film stars and therefore, didn't have a forum for our adolescent narcissism.
ReplyDeleteDamn you. Damn you to hell.
ReplyDeleteI could have gone all my life without looking at this.
Did you see the people in the audience eating through that? It was enough to make me become anorexic.
ReplyDeleteTruly awful. His butchering of "Imagine" would be worse if it had video, but is still tragic:
