Revenge of the Nerds and Other Movies That Are Supposed to be Funny
A few movies that are supposed to be funny but suck:
- Revenge of the Nerds. - Porkies. - American Pie. - Police Academy - especially the guy that makes all of the sound effects. - Mrs Doubtfire - Anything with Whoopie Goldberg.
while i wouldnt call it a classic or anything, i generally found it funny, and before it was fucking beaten to death, the BAND CAMP scene made me spit out my soda in the theatre...
I would have to agree with you on this list...although I agree with the others about american pie...it was some what funny...until they just started making too many...sometimes they just need to leave things alone and be happy with one
Revenge of the Nerds - agreed Porkies - had a moment or two American Pie - agreed Police Academy - agreed, on every damn one of 'em. Mrs Doubtfire - had a moment or two. Anything with Whoopie Goldberg - agreed.
I thought police academy was pretty funny when it first came out but then I was only about 10?!
American Pie though (the first one, the others are pants) I found funny when it fisrt came out and still do now and I don't usually find american comedy films funny as the humour is too obvious and toilet (except those with will farrel in)
Please add to the loist ANYTHING with jim Carrey in it. He makes me want to claw my eyes out...stupid goofy man!
What no love for Lambada Lambda Lambda and Omeaga Moos?! WTF! Ok, I was 13 and they showed it on HBO non-stop, Revenge of the Nerds has a special place in my heart. That shit movie American Pie I tried to watch and gave up after 15 minutes, and I think Dude Where's my Car is GENIUS! and then...
Obviously you weren't one of us nerds! But I'd also like to suggest that Napoleon Dynamite be added to that list. I hate that movie with a passion. Also Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura.
Scary Movie Hotshots (however many awful parts there were) National Lampoon movies (except Animal House) Anything with Chevy Chase or Rodney Dangerfield in
You forgot 'Faces of Death.'
ReplyDeleteI think I laughed maybe like 4 or 5 times.
Rip off.
im with ya except for American Pie.
ReplyDeletewhile i wouldnt call it a classic or anything, i generally found it funny, and before it was fucking beaten to death, the BAND CAMP scene made me spit out my soda in the theatre...
Agree with all but American PIe. And I have never understood Police Academy

I've actually never seen the last one but it seems like a safe bet.

ReplyDeleteIdiocracy

Yes. I think you are correct on all of these.
ReplyDeleteI liked Revenge of the Nerds
ReplyDelete"Ghost" was supposed to be funny? I had no clue.
ReplyDeleteBeckeye - you like John Travolta so you've already lost cred.
ReplyDeleteWOW... I need to record this day on my calendar because i actually agree with you! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree about anything with Whoopie Goldberg sucking. But American Pie???
ReplyDeleteMs. Doubtfire was funny...come on!
ReplyDeleteShelle Blok - don't lie. You agree with everything.
ReplyDeleteI don't know... "Say my name, Bitch!" coming from the Band Camp Girl was pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteBut yes, everything else.
If I was high enough I could probably summon up a chortle for those movies, but yeah...it'd take a lot of weed.
ReplyDeleteI usually feel alone in having the opinion that Steven Spielberg's best work was the movie, "1941".
ReplyDeleteI'm also often alone in life as well....
