What Are The Best Food Brands? Chips. Baked Beans. Burgers.

When I mentioned Baby Rays BBQ sauce in a post last week I got a great reaction. And some suggestions on some other BBQ sauces which I'll be trying.

So I'd like to get a list of some other brands that people love. I'd love to try some of them out.

Here are some that I like:

Baked Beans: Bush's
Frozen Dinners (when necessary) - Stouffer's red box (mac and cheese).
Toilet Paper: Scott's
Potato Chips: Wise (regular). Herr's brand Kettle Chips.
Scotch: Dewars.
Processed Pie (single portion): Tastycake Cherry Pie.
Cake snack: Peanut Butter Tastykakes (nuke for 15 seconds)
Frozen Burger Patties (when I'm not making my own): Sam's Club burgers.

I know I'm going to think of many more but I'm in a rush and that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

  1. Scott's for toilet paper? You mean that sandpapery shit? No thanks. I like to pamper my ass with luxurious quilted softness.

  2. LOL @ Some Guy's comment! You must like it rough!

I, myself prefer Charmin Ultra Strong! Doesn't leave papery bits behind and no need to use as much. Nothing is worse than some weak ass t.p.!

  3. Why we're all focusing on toilet paper, I don't know...BUT...Cottonelle for kids has saved us.

It has little footprints printed on it, and every 4th square or something, there's a dog. It teaches kids how much to take.

Of course, during the summer, we drink too much...and sometimes it's a 3 dog night.

    Just sayin'.

And I love Bubba Burgers, for best burgers.

  4. Best hot dogs: Deutschmachers

They may not taste the best, but there's nothing better than going to the deli and ordering:

    "6 Douche Makers, please."

    Try it at home, kids!

  5. I've done extensive testing on chip brands, and while Herrs is awesome they come in second to Utz. Utz is the singular superior chip. Especially Salt and Vinegar. The Carolina BBQ is very close.

  6. I'll second Bush Beans, but Scotts? May as well use newspaper, ouch!

  7. Beans...I do bush too!!!

T.P.....I need softness..so its charmin for this ass!!!

chips....whatever I happen to be in the mood for!!!!

cake snack....dont eat ( I do alot of my own baking so I dont need store stuff)

  8. i 2nd the kettle chips.. they rock!

do they make salt and vinegar?

  9. I don't know any of these brands. What is this - some kind of food brand based xenophobia?

Oh, no wait, I do know Kettle Chips. I'll let you off.

  10. Zibsy you gotta try the Oreo cookie cakes.
    Addictive as hell.

  11. On the toilet paper issue, Scotts does just fine since I'm not one with toilet issues. And even thought I'm not really hairy like some of you apes, I don't like the idea of particles sticking to me and Scotts is perfect for that thank you.

Sass -I agree. Bubba's is another one that good for premade.

BE Earl - Utz is another one I love. I think I've had their
version of salt and vinegar but will pick up next time I'm at Wawa.

Dena - I prefer freshly made to but when I don't have time to defrost?? Also, when I make fresh I like to put a tiny pat of butter in the middle so it makes it extra juicy when it cooks.

Slyde - I'm sure Herrs makes salt and vinegar. Funny how you and Earl like even the same style of chip. I'm not putting you down. This blog is gay friendly...just uh...kepp the details to yourself...you know what I'm saying.

    (leaves computer to wash hands)

Ana - Xeno...xeno...xenophobia? Is that some kind of meat?

  12. Hebrew National beef franks, sauteed in butter.

  13. Damn, it is food day today.

I agree on the baked beans and Stouffer's Mac n Cheese (when necessary)

You forgot beer: Bud Light :)

    Happy Fat Tuesday!

  14. Bud light? No thanks.

The only light beer I like is Amstel light. Don't really like but..you know.

  15. UTZ!UTZ UTZ!

Oh, and the chocolate cream pie from Costco will make you jizz in yer pants and you won't even care.

  16. Lee - welcome to my blog.

You probably didn't read the TBY fine print where I ask that you don't mention jizz in my food posts - but that's OK. Seriously. Welcome aboard.

  18. TRADER JOE's everything!

  19. Kimmie - I need to go there. I've only been into one once.

  20. I like Stouffer's lasagna - tasty and the perfect size for a single gal who's own lasagnas end up weighing 20 pounds.

Toilet Paper: Don't squeeze the Charmin! Being a princess, I need a soft, luxurious wipe.

Potato Chips: Classic Lays with Prairie Farms (a dairy in my hometown) French Onion Dip. And ANYTHING salt and vinegar. I also love those shoestring potato things. Yum!

Processed Pie (single portion): Tippin's Chocolate Cream

Frozen Burger Patties: NEVER, EVER, NEVER. EVER.

Hot Dogs: Nathan's kosher, grilled and then steeped in kraut and served with yellow mustard.

Oh, God. I think I just had a foodgasm.

  21. Also? Sass should be commended for the "three dog night" wordplay. Shakespeare would be proud of her.

    ReplyDelete
  22. That Gwen, she's sure got good taste, doesn't she?

Have I mentioned lately that I love her?

  23. Dude, the Old Dutch potato chips are the best ever. Believe me. There's no competition. I don't know if they're available in PA though...

Also I have to go with Heinz Baked Beans (particularly the sort with a hint of maple syrup but that might be here in Canada only) and any cake snack or candy bar from the UK as they have way, WAY superior sweet products than here in the Americas and don't include that nasty assed corn syrup stuff. Honestly.

Then Cadbury chocolate is far superior to Hershey (Has to be the British or Canadian version of Cadbury's however, not the Hershey-made nasty U.S. stuff you get under their name)

Hellman's mayo, Heinz ketchup (duh!) and Pepsi over Coke.

    Bicks for pickles.

You're sorry you asked us now, right?

    ReplyDelete
  24. dr. z ~ sorry about the jizz. lee was franki, but franki is sick of her blog. but franki still talks about jizz.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Veggie Assassin - I hear you with the Hershey's. I brought them over to the UK to give as gifts when I used to travel there and later found out that people hate US chocolate.

Lee - Don't fret the jizz. You mean you used to be Franki? Now I'm confused.

  26. "Yes!" on Bush's and Stouffer's Mac & Cheese, but my backside prefers Cottonelle, thank you very much!

  28. Baked Beans: I don't eat baked beans. Ew.
Frozen Dinners: Hmm... I don't eat many frozen dinners, but I could pick almost any brand based on what's inside. Stouffer's is decent.
    Toilet Paper: Cottonelle
    Potato Chips: Cape Cod
    Scotch: Dewars. (Agreed.)
Processed Pie (single portion): Not a fan
    Cake snack: Ding Dons
Frozen Burger Patties Never ever buy these.
