I'm watching Fringe right now and let me just tell you that I love it already! Some chick was just was screaming and had to be rushed to the hospital. As she gave birth, the doctors are looking down in horror. One of them pukes.
In the next scene, they explain that the "baby" kept growing aka advanced rapid aging. On the floor is a bloody, dead old man. Yup. Great, creepy fun.
That is a badass scene. Reminds me of "2001".
ReplyDeleteBut I'm not sure I can watch a show that stars Pacey.
Sweet. I'll tune in anon!
ReplyDeleteOh...I wish I had seen the first episode! Noted and I will not miss another.
ReplyDeleteI quite enjoyed the first episode and, unlike www, I heart Josh Jackson.
ReplyDeleteYour review is enticing. I've got it Tivo'd.
ReplyDeleteI was really looking forward to this show, but I ended up kind of disappointed. The whole beginning scenes with the FBI dude (or whatever organization they're all working for) introducing the main characters was ultra expository. Jeez people, let the characters come to life gradually on their own.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hate the guy who plays Pacey's Dad. What a horrible actor.
Beckeye - good points but I can look pas that.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Beckeye. I'm really really trying to love this show, but it comes across as a poor X-Files ripoff. Future Mrs Imaginary Reviewer and I were pissing ourselves laughing at the beginning last night when some minor characters were discussing what happened in the first episode. I was expecting one of them to look up at the camera and say "Previously, on Fringe..."
ReplyDeleteBut I shall keep watching it, if only for scenes like the birthing last night. That certainly was creepy fun.
I'm sort of liking Fringe so far. It's hard to get over Pacey being one of the main characters but his dad, the odd scientist, brings some much needed comic relief.
ReplyDeleteBloody, dead old men? Bring. It. On.
ReplyDeletesounds like a cool show-I'll try to catch it!
ReplyDeleteWTF???? Hahahhahaaa that sounds AMAZING
ReplyDeleteNo wonder she was screaming...
ReplyDeleteThough it does make me think of that Will Ferrel skit on SNL when he's birthed...complete with pervy mustache.
