Mmmmm. Here's a picture of some diner food at Mrs. Mike's in West Chester. This is usually my breakfast when I go out. Two eggs scrambled, hash browns, white toast and side of sausage.
My biggest complaint at most breakfast places is when they don't have good hash browns. I love the hash browns at Mrs. Mikes. You can't tell from the picture but the hash browns are nice and crunchy. And in case you're curious, I usually add ketchup on top of the eggs and hash browns and strawberry jelly on the toast.
And ten points for the reader that can reference the quote about whether I like sausage patties or links.
No points for me, as I don't know the answer to that question, but I know my daughter would be a great breakfast companion for you as she likes her eggs with ketchup also.
ReplyDeletenot me so much...
Next time you are there tell Pat I said Hi.
ReplyDeleteYou like links!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm just saying!!!
Son of T - I go there all the time but I actually met him today.
ReplyDeleteI know you didn't leave out the grits on purpose. Salt and peppered with a huge pad of butter and a few slices of cheese (or some like to add sugar and others like to add Tabasco Sauce) and you have a taste sensation.
ReplyDeleteI like my hash browns crunchy too. Nothing worse than gooshy hash browns. However, why do you people insist on ruining eggs and hash browns with ketchup?? Blaaah.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if this counts as a post, I really need to post more!
You like patties. I know this because you once wrote about throwing one at my butt after sex. I don't think I will ever be able to forget it. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhere's the ketchup?
ReplyDeleteThey don't make hash browns like that at Waffle House.
ReplyDeleteKetchup on eggs? ewwwwwwwwww
I put tons of pepper on mine.

I may be wrong Gwen, but I think in the dream he thru the patty at your ass because he prefered links.
ReplyDeleteSon of a Thomas...Just burned yo ass! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never had hash browns I like. Never tried ketchup with eggs, but I bet it'd be good if cheese also were involved.
ReplyDeleteWWW - you know me. This was a total throw up there post. You got me.
ReplyDeleteS O A Thomas - You are correct with the Sausage situation.
I SAID LINKS TOO!!!!
ReplyDeleteDR Z?????
The joints I go to call those potatoes home fries. Hash browns are usually the crispy, fried potato patties. But I understand there are regional differences.
ReplyDeleteeww..fried potato patties DO NOT count as hashbrowns. that's something that fast food places just made up. Dr. Z's hash browns...oh yeah, those are real hash browns babe!
ReplyDeletenot with ya on the sausage though, crispy bacon for this girl!
Where I grew up those would definitely be called "home fries". It's the size of the potato pieces. Shredded potatoes make hash browns, bigger pieces make home fries.
ReplyDeleteIMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: I meant to say home fries. Those things are called home fries everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI'd happily eat all that twice.
ReplyDeleteI could organise an American round trip and eat my way around the states. I wonder who'd sponsor me to do a 'DinerTour'.
Yum. Where is this joint?
ReplyDeleteOh, and I tried Market St Grill bfast the other day. I'm still unsure of what a "Bennie" is, but it's not my last visit. I loved this joint!
Kimmie - it's 100 yards from Don Gabriels on Downingtown Pike.
