Today Is Inventor's Day And I've Got Another Invention! Birds.

Tis' true. Today, September 29 is Inventor's Day. It's celebrated in Argentina and it's on the same day as the birthday of the inventor of the ballpoint pen.

Well move over Laszlo Hoszsef Biro (inventor of the ballpoint pen) because I will now unveil by invention for solving our planet's energy problems.

I give you:

...wait for it

...a little more

"The Dr Zibbs Energy Birds"

OK. It looks just like the drinking bird * that my sister Joan had when she was a kid but my DR ZIBBS ENERGY BIRDS will be fifty feet high and they'll be branded with the prestigious Dr Zibbs name.

Now I don't know how these drinking birds drink - I mean - who really does - but they do work. I've seen them doin' their stuff in person. So why not make them 50 feet high and line our streets with them? Of course you have to hook their up and down movement to something to capture all of their up and down drinking energy. What are they called?.. generators or something? ..You know what I mean...they "capture" energy then they....put it in that...in that thing.. You know. The thing that holds energy until me and you are ready to use the energy.

Yeah. You know what I'm talking about. It's that thing.

So there you go. Does anyone really see a down side? I can't think of one.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go daydream about being in a parade that will soon me held in my honor as appreciation for my invention.

*practices waving and throwing hard candy to the crowds*

P.S. If anyone would like to leak this story to the press, I'd like my official title to be: "Dr Zibbs -the Eli Whitney of Drinking Bird Technology".

*I think my parents gave us toys like this in an attempt to trick us into Science. It didn't really work.

Photography, Brandywine Battlefield, Barn, Tree With Hole And History.

Posted by Picasa

Look at this picture I took that I just found on my computer. It's a photo I took at the Brandywine Battlefield here in PA. Look at the composition of that photo. I mean really look at it. It's so arty I bet that some of you cried a bit. It's OK you babies. Go get a tissue and read on.

Did you know that the Battle at Brandywine was the biggest battle in the Revolutionary War between us and the crooked toothed English. And did you know Washington's headquarters were there? It's all true.

But more importantly, what do you think is inside the hole in that tree? When I took the picture I was thinking that if I looked in it an animal would probably bite me in the face. And I had no friends with me so I couldn't say, "Hey go look in that hole. Someone just dropped their wallet in there". I guess we'll never know.

I'll tell you one thing though, judging by the height of the hole on that particular type of tree and given the number of years ago that the battle was, I bet the height of that hole in the tree was exactly the height of a soldier's......Oh you people are pervs!!

And not to get too artsy on your asses, here's another photo I took at the historic Brandywine Battlefield. Look how I positioned the crazy tree above the little ice house down there. It's like the tree is warning you, (talking like Shirley from What's Happenin' and What's Happenin' Now) "DO NOT GO IN THAT HOUSE RAJ - DO NOT EVEN DO IT!"

Can you hear that? No? Listen again - closely and open you imagination. And your heart.

Really Funny Video On Chester County History

Here's a really funny video that I found on Youtube. It's about the history of Chester County. I have no idea who made it but it looks like something I'd make with a bunch of buddies.

(warning: harsh language and mention of genitals).

Best George Washington Video Ever

Did you know that George Washington was our 1st President? And he wore a wig? And slept in a lot of places in Chester and Montgomery Counties? All facts. Enough learning. Now it's time to lower the volume a bit and watch this hysterical video from Brad Neely of Creased Comics . Please rate it for funniness on a scale from 1 - 10. One being an episode of Alice and ten being my blog.

(And when you're done this video, treat yourself and scroll down and see some other catchy videos). Feel free to tap you toes. You've earned it.

Eskimos Are real Accoding to Nova

I really wasn't going to blog tonight but this you've got to hear about. There's a series called Nova (sciencey) and they was just talking about the Eskimos - one of the groups of people that I love to make fun of because they're different and I could probably take one down - one punch - it's over. But who are these peoples? We all know that they live in the cold - but what else? Now I know everything about them because I just watched an hour special. Did you know some of the husbands traded their wives off for "goods"? It's a fact. Even though some of these subservient looking round faced ladies looked innocent -they weren't! Some had Sifolice (I know that's the wrong spelling but I never had it so how would I know how to spell it)? But you have to admit, they are adorable (see picture above).

I'm not going to ruin it for you, but these guys can catch a seal while in their igloo! Imagine that. There is one disturbing fact though - a dark side. They want to be called something like Inuit instead of Eskimo. Hold on there Frosty. You earn my respect THEN we'll talk nicknames. Either way, watch the Nova - you might not only learn something about an Eskimo -you might learn something about (lean toward screen) ..YOURSELF. (DISCLAIMER: I Love Eskimos - Inuits are dicks..but I love Eskimos)

That is all.

Guernsey Cow In Exton Now Has a Blog

The World's Largest Cow used to be located in Exton PA. If you're from Chester County, you know that I'm talking about the Guernsey Cow - the Exton Pa Ice Cream Shop. Check out the Guernsey Cow blog as it has some nice info and pictures of this landmark Exton establishment.

Make sure to check out the pics of Willie Minor on the site and his tricked out bike which includes a full sized shopping cart strapped to the back. If you grew up in the area, these pictures will be bring back some great memories.
And just think, one could share a wholesome milkshake with their best girl at the Guernsey Cow, then travel two miles west on route 30 to the Downingtown Farmers Market to gawk at Sandy Allen (worlds tallest woman), piss off the Friday night BINGO players by yelling "G.4" everytime you walk by and purchase a bootleg Thin Lizzy belt buckle. Those were the days.
