BBQ Beef Recipe For The Crock Pot That's Easy And Tasty.

If you're looking for the most simple thing to cook that's going to taste great, here's the thing for you. Even if you can't cook - you can do this. Note that the picture I took didn't turn out so the picture above is stolen...but that's what it will look like.

BBQ Beef Sandwiches.

Ingredients:

Chuck Roast
Pepper
Salt
Paprika
Garlic Powder
Dark Beer (beef stock as a substitute)
Onions
BBQ Sauce (1/2 cup)
Worchestershire Sauce - 1 tablespoon
Mustard - 3 tablespoons

- Cut off pieces of fat from meat. Cut meat into about 4 - 8 pieces.

- Season the meat with the seasonings mentioned above.

- Sear all sides of meat in a frying pan.

- Put it in a crock pot with the other ingredients mentioned above. Add a generous portion of the seasonings, the beer, BBQ sauce and onions.

Cook in crock pot on high for 9 hours but check your crock pot. Newer crock pots take a bit less time and you can cook on low. You know when it's done when you can pull the meat apart with two forks.

When done, you may need to add a bit more BBQ sauce to the meat. Put the meat on rolls, top with coleslaw and ENJOY!

Various Things Since It's Memorial Day Friday. Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ.

A few things since it's Memorial Day Friday and people are going to be itching to get out of work early.

- For my foreign readers. Do you even HAVE memorial day? And for my American readers will you be sneaking out early? Any good plans for the holiday?

- I was invited to Sea Isle (New Jersey shore) for the weekend - free. I'm not "shore" if I'm going to go. Get it? "shore" instead of "sure"?

- I wonder how soon really good sweet corn will be ready? It's probably going to be a while.

- The helicopters have almost fallen from the eight maple trees in my yard so I may be able to order mulch finally.

- If you're having BBQ this weekend get some Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce . I just discovered it recently and it's the best I've ever had from a bottle.

- I declare this the second worst post ever on TBY.

Look At That BBQ Header at the Top of My Blog. Bees!

So everyone is changing the layouts of their blogs these days. I just don't have the patience to do it right now so I simply added the picture you see above. It's an image of me barbecuing on my deck. I then realized there was a bee's nest under the grill. Using my catlike reflexes I screamed like a girl and ran inside to get my electric tennis racket bug swatter* - best invention ever - and went to town on the bees. They didn't stand a chance.

And on the subject of new blog layouts, two of my favorites are the blogs of Whiskey Marie and The Verdant Dude (aka B.E.Earl). I'm very, very jealous. I especially like how The Verdant Dude's blog has the options of tabs that let you have links to other blogs. And I'll add that these are two of my favorite blogs as well.

*Note that there are spikes hanging off of the electric tennis racket bug swatter. These show you that it's been used in many bee battles. They could easily poke out an eye but danger is my middle name. Well, actually "Screams Like a Girl" is my middle name. "Danger" is my Confirmation name.

Pork Roast Recipe Is Tasty Goodness From Chester County

If you know me. You know that I love to cook. And since this is my blog and I can do anything I want, I'm going to give a little cooking instruction. Above is a really tasty boneless pork roast that anyone could cook. Seriously. If you don't cook, you can make this and everyone will love you. Here's all you have to do.

- Get yourself a boneless pork roast
- Mix up these ingredients: olive oil, salt, pepper, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, fresh rosemary (chopped) and a tablespoon of mustard.
- Now rub all of these ingredients all over the roast.
- Next, put the roast in a zip lock bag and add a few dashes of Worcestershire Sauce and squeeze an orange in the bag too.

Marinate for 4 - 6 hours.

- Take pork out of the bag and tie it with string. This will help it to cook evenly. (Do it better than the sloppy job I did in the picture above.
- Heat up your grill (or burner) and sear all sides of the pork. Then cook the pork under indirect heat for about 70-90 minutes or until internal temp reaches 160 degrees. Don't over cook as it will become very dry.
- Take the pork off the grill and let it stand for about 10 minutes.
I like to serve mine with saurkraut*, garlic mashed potatoes and applesauce.
*I like to cook mine in cast iron on the grill because I like to throw the kraut in at the end.
