Red Hot Chili Peppers Doing Brandy. Married To The Sea.

Here's the Red Hot Chili Peppers doing "Brandy". And for the record - what guys says, "My life, my love and my lady is the sea?"

And no..not a gay guy. There weren't any gays in the 70's. Remember?

Rhode Island Song For Jesus. Peaches, Lobsters and Pencils.

So the Friday Send Off Song is dedicated to Jesus for pulling his magic. And we shall celebrate it this Easter. If it wasn't for Jesus we wouldn't have Cadbury Chocolate eggs. Now would we?

The song is called, "Rhode Island is Famous for You". Has anyone ever heard this song? It's very catchy. For the sinners that won't be visiting my blog until after Easter - have a good one. For those that will be checking out my blog this weekend - I bless thee.

Who Wants To Sleep With Me Into The Mystic? Van Morrison.

It's 10:35 Eastern time as I write this and I'm going to bed. And I'm going to put on some Van Morrison to listen to on my Ipod. I'll start with Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic".

I love that song.

Here's an idea. When you go to bed, hug a pillow and hum that song and pretend the pillow is me. It's OK. That's not cheating. Don't get all crazy though and draw a picture of me on the pillow with a Sharpie because that is cheating.

I'm sorry that I have to leave you but I have a huge day tomorrow which includes a big party at night. So I need to hit the hay. So here's a cover version of "Into the Mystic".

Enjoy.

George Michael, Faith and Cover Songs. Wait. Did I Say Faith Yet?

So my Friday Send Off Song live from Chester County PA is Faith. Since the George Michael versions can't be embedded on my blog, here's a cover that I found on the Youtube from some girl named Reina Del Cid. She's got some chops on her.

And the Friday shout out goes to:

Dedene - a reader from France.

Miss Amy - from the blog Finding Miss Amy.

JadedJ - from Banquet of Consequences.

So if you have faith in this blog, stop back this weekend to see various posts about local things as well as videos I'll be posting in attempt to blatantly get as many hits for my blog as possible using luring titles, content and tags.

Celebration, Books, Bees and Me

So my Friday send off song this week is Celebration by Kool and the Gang? What am I celebrating? Well, my wife's book club is having their year end party so we're going to someone's house for cocktails and then off to the West Chester Country Club for dinner so I guess we're celebrating..... the Secret Life of Bees? ....or one of those other books that I've seen around my house....who knows.

Actually it's a great group and it's going to be a lot of fun. But if the subject of books does come up, I'm totally prepared to steer the conversation back to my blog. Which is kind of like a book but way more sexy and interesting then a book about beekeeping that doesn't contain a single picture of someone getting stung by bees or a person wearing a beard of bees. I don't get it.

I dedicate the song this week to Franki (just started really reading her blog and I love it!) and Southern Belle and Cora. So make sure to check out their blogs. Remember, it's commentors like these that keep my ego huge, powerful and healthy.

Kid Rock and Jerry Lee Lewis Doing A Cover

I love hearing bands do cover songs. In fact, I have a great playlist on my Ipod with just cover tunes. Here's one that I ran across with Kid Rock and Jerry Lee Lewis doing Honky Tonk Woman. What do you think? And to hear his current big hit, "All Summer Long" , click here. I still think it wasn't nesessary to sample Sweet Home Alabama for this to be a good song.
