Meatloaf Lookalike Looks Nothing Like Meatloaf.
"Hey. What's up? My name's Bert McGrath and as you can plainly see, I'm a Mealoaf impersonator. You can tell that by my weight, my ratty ass wig I got at a dollar store and my kerchief that I'll use to wipe off my sweat when I sing "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" at your BBQ, party or bridal shower. Oh. *winks* And I got an attitude and sex appeal to boot as you can clearly see."
That my friends is a real Meatloaf impersonator. I found the picture on my desktop but I forget where I found it online. Is there anyway he can be really good? I bet you anything I can do a better impression of Meatloaf. I do it all the time in my car when Meatloaf songs come on. I always grab a tissue to use as my prop for wiping my fake sweat.
True story bitch asses. OK. Now back to looking at his picture.

Star, Star. Rolling Stones. Sexy Lyrics. Don't Be Shy.
Oh dear. Star, Star from the Rolling Stones from Goat's Head Soup. Listen as you read the saucy lyrics. Try not to blush. If you get nervous hide behind a hand fan and take a sneak peak.
Baby, baby, I've been so sad since you've been gone
Way back to New York City
Where you do belong
Honey, I missed your two tongue kisses
Legs wrapped around me tight
If I ever get back to Fun City, girl
I'm gonna make you scream all night
Honey, honey, call me on the telephone
I know you're movin' out to Hollywood
With your can of tasty foam
All those beat up friends of mine
Got to get you in their books
And lead guitars and movie stars
Get their toes beneath your hook
Yeah, you're a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
Yeah, a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
Star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
Yeah, I heard about you Polaroid's
Now that's what I call obscene
Your tricks with fruit was kind a cute
I bet you keep your pussy clean
Honey, I miss your two tone kisses
Legs wrapped around me tight
If I ever get back to New York, girl
Gonna make you scream all night
Yeah, you're a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/r/rolling-stones-lyrics/star-star-lyrics.html ]
Yeah, a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
Star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker star
Yes you are, yes you are, yes you are
Yeah, Ali McGraw got mad with you
For givin' head to Steve McQueen
Yeah, you and me we made a pretty pair
Fallin' through the silver screen
Honey, I'm open to anythin'
I don't know where to draw the line
Yeah, I'm makin' bets that you gonna get
John Wayne before he dies
Yeah, you're a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
Yeah, a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
A star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
Yeah you are, a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
A star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
A star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
Yeah, a star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star
Star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star fucker
Star fucker, star fucker, star fucker, star, yes you are, yes you are

Second Levon Helm Tribute. In My Top Ten Songs.
I know I just posted a Levon Helm song but I need to post another. This is another one from The Last Waltz. The Weight. This is probably in my top ten of favorite songs and my top live performance song.
Just tugs at the old heart strings don't you think?
OK. Come comfort me. This song seriously makes me tear up every time I hear it.
RIP Levon Helm. You Were The Best. The Band. Ophelia.
Sad day. Levon Helm from The Band died. Here he is in the Last Waltz singing Ophelia.
And if you haven't watched The Last Waltz you should rent it. Best concert movie ever. (Levon is the singer on the drums)

David Bowie Heroes. Concert for NYC. Love This. Live.
This is such a great version of David Bowie doing Heroes. It's hypnotic. I've got it on my ipod and just decided to see if there was a video. And there was!
It's from the Concert for New York City. Crank it up!
Do you like it?

Gucci Dylan Belt Buckle Product Development Surprise. Dr Zaius.
I've got some pretty exciting news for you guys today! I've obtained the exclusive rights from Gucci of the Product Development art briefing of a Bob Dylan belt buckle! It's like a piece of rock history! Well...belt buckle history but still.
And I'm going to share it with YOU! Here it is:
Mike, thanks again for the great work on the Toto belt buckle. I think it's going to be a big seller. I've got another project for you. I want you to design a Bob Dylan belt buckle. I'm sure you know what he looks like but as a refresher, he looks a bit like a baby tapir:
With a touch of Dr Zaius from the Planet of Apes:
And the hair? Make it a bit Mike Bradyish so it really stands out once it's comes out of the mold.
Oh. And put a random jail cell door in there for no reason whatsoever.
And here is the result:
WTF?????????

Jimi Hendrix. Exton Sam Goody. Putting On The Gorilla Suit

My Dad is the type of guy that doesn’t take shit from anyone. Like if you’re standing in a long line at a store and there’s only one register open, and everyone is looking at each other like, “this is ridiculous”… he’s the type that walks to the front of the line and says, “Excuse me. But I’ve standing in line for five minutes. I’m going to need you to stop what you’re doing, call your manager and get another person on a register.”
And everyone is all, "I wish I had the balls to do that." Or if someone butts in line? Yeah right buddy. My Dad is the one that will tell you to get to the back.
So flashback to when my brother was in 5th grade. My brother buys a Jimi Hendrix book. So my Dad is flipping through the book and sees a plaster cast of Jimi Hendrix’s junk in it. He’s like, “What the hell is this? You’re not going to have this book!” To my brother. “You’re going to bring it back.”
“But I don’t have a receipt.”
“Then I’LL bring it back!
“Dad, they won’t take it back without a receipt.”
“Oh they’ll take it back alright.”. My Dad takes the book and drives to the record store. Sam Goody I believe it was. Exton Mall.
Dad gets into the store and says to cashier, “I’d like to return this book but I don’t have a receipt.”
“Sorry sir, I can’t exchange it if you don’t have a receipt.” The lady says.
“Do you have kids?”
“Uh..yes?”
“Well let me ask you this: turn to page 112. Would you want your 5th grader looking at that?
The woman looks at the picture, turns beat red and opens the register.
Mission accomplished.
*Author's note: This is what my Dad called, "Putting on the gorilla suit ."

Dirty Deeds. And Backdoor Man Question. ACDC.

During a long walk this morning I listened to the ACDC albums Back In Black and Dirty Deeds.
Well the one lyric in Dirty Deeds always bothered me. Here it is:
You got a lady and you want her gone
But you ain't got the guts
She keeps naggin' at you night 'n' day
Enough to drive you nuts
Pick up the phone, leave her alone
It's time you made a stand
For a fee, I'm happy to be
Your back door man
So is he saying that he's going to come and have anal sex with her or is a backdoor man also a hitman? I looked online for three minutes and found no reference to a backdoor man being a hitman. And why doesn't he just dump her? I don't get it.
Here's a live version of the song:

Can't Find Noblet Singing Carry On. Kansas.
I was looking on Youtube for the clip of Noblet (Colbert from Strangers With Candy) singing Carry On - the Kansas song - but it's not there. Damn it!
So here's Kansas doing it.

The Cat Empire Car Song And Seeing Videos.
Has anyone ever heard of "The Car Song" by The Cat Empire? It's one of the songs I listen to on my Ipod walks.
And I love this song but I really don't like the video. I hate when that happens. So you might want to listen to the song but not watch the video.

MUST SEE. Peter Wolf And Shelby Lynn Rock Tragedy.
One of the best concerts I saw back in the day was the J Geils Band. Because Peter Wolf is one of the best front men. He's a crazy man.
Here's the song Tragedy from his new album. It's Shelby Lynn and Peter Wolf rehearsing it and it STILL sounds great. Tell me this song doesn't give you chills.
I just heard that he's going to be at The Note in West Chester. I think I may have to go.

Incidents That Happened At Who Concerts. Part 1.
I used to go to a lot of concerts. But it seems like at a third of the concerts I went to there was an incident.
And by incident I mean either a fight, a potential fight, someone I'm with getting completely fucked up or some weird or funny thing.
Here's one of the things that happened at one of The Who concerts I went to:
*imagine me in as an old man in a rocking chair telling the tale*
Oh it was way back in the day. Sometime in the 80's.
So the concert was in Philly at JFK stadium. The place was torn down many years ago. So it's a heat wave, The Who is playing and we're on the "floor". The seating was folding chairs.
So everyone is standing on the folding chairs and I feel something spraying on my legs. I turn around and some drunk asshole is peeing on my chair and some of the spray was hitting my leg. With Hulk-like rage I just say, "What the fuck?"...
And I push him so hard that he's thrown back into a row of folding chairs.
He's lying on the ground. His dick is still out and he's peeing on himself.
The security were on him in 10 seconds and threw his ass out.
The end.
And here's a little Who in case you want to play it and pretend you were there.

Red Hot Chili Peppers Doing Brandy. Married To The Sea.
Here's the Red Hot Chili Peppers doing "Brandy". And for the record - what guys says, "My life, my love and my lady is the sea?"
And no..not a gay guy. There weren't any gays in the 70's. Remember?

I Still Say The Last Waltz Is The Best Concert Movie. The Band. Neil Young
This is how I feel sometimes*
This is Neil Young singing Helpless with The Band in The Last Waltz. It's my favorite concert movie. You should get it on DVD. It's great to put on from time to time.
*Don't cry you babies. I'll be OK.

Philly Spectrum Around 1980. The Kinks Apeman.
Here's a group I saw back in the day in Philly at the Spectrum. The Kinks. It was probably 1980 or 1981. This is the song Apeman.
At 28 seconds in they show the profile of a person in an Ape mask. At first I was all, "Is that a real person?" Then I realized it was a mask.

Is Rap As Crappy As I Think It Is. Lil Wayne. Worse That Polka.

Every generation hates the younger generation's music. I guess it's a tradition.
But most rap sucks. I like some rap, like Snoop. And some other stuff*. I have it on my Ipod. But a lot of the other stuff? It's awful!
Lil Wayne? Have you heard this nonsense? It's just terrible. I'm not saying it's offensive or "I don't get it" or anything like that. It's just terrible, terrible music. If you can even call it music.
You couldn't get a hippie off of the street in the 60's and put him in a rock band without anyone noticing but I swear that you could get a homeless guy and make him a rap star and nobody would notice. "Hey that guy's great!"
And maybe it's just that people like to hear rap for rap - like it's people talking to music but it really shouldn't be categorized as music. Can't it be in the spoken word category?
And don't EVEN try to say I'm racist. I love R & B. And I LOVE Funk. Most rap just sucks it.
If you don't believe me, check out one of the top rap stars. Please explain the talent to me after you hear this.
*I forget the name of it right now but...

Creedence Clearwater Revival. Has This Song Ever Been On The Radio? Cotton.
I used to love this song Cottonfields. I had the album but haven't heard it in YEARS. Come to think of it, I don't ever recall ever hearing it on the radio. It's from CCR. But I'm not lying when I tell you that I played it all the time.
And check out the "video". It's just a picture of a cotton field.
Is anyone else a Creedence or John Fogerty fan ? What about cotton fans? Anyone?

Guess Who's 83 Today? My Man Chuck Berry. Reelin and Rockin.
Chuck Berry is 83 today! What an icon.
Here he is from 1972 doing Reelin and Rockin. Now you can't tell me he doesn't rock. Look at him go!
And look what he does at 1:04 when he realizes that he's thirsty.
Now that was classic.
