I Want To Do This In A Movie Theater. Jeffrey Dean Morgan And Javier Bardem Twins.

I went last week to see the movie The Possession with my daughter. Meh. It was OK. Some scary parts. She was really scared though.

I was telling her that whenever I see a horror movie in the theater and there are only a few people in there I think about this thing I want to do. About half way though the movie I want to stand up. Then I just stand for about a minute. Then I slooooooooowly walk toward the back of the theater. Then I walk and sit behind two people and sit directly behind them without saying a thing.

What do you think they would do? Would they get up and leave? Would they say anything? Maybe if they didn't say anything after a few minutes I would put my hand on one of their shoulders. Or just whisper, "It's about to happen." What do think?

And holy crap! I just discovered this when putting the link up there for The Possession! The lead in it was Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Here's his picture:

I totally thought it was Javier Bardem (the No Country For Old Men) actor! Look at his picture:

They look like identical twins!! Am I right?? But guess what? I just Googled both of their names and put in the word "twins" and a million other people think this as well. I guess I'm late to the party on this one.

They do look like twins. But I'm still laughing at what you wanna do to perfect strangers in a dim theatre. Yer a nut, Zibbzich.

Hey Herr Zibbs! I scared the bejeezus out of some talking kids at the cinema recently. I didn't wait 20+ years to see JAWS at the cinema again to listen to some little fuckwits cackling and whispering. Tho apparently they thought I did. I was right behind them, and stood, leaned over and bellowed "Film's started! Shut the hell up!" After much shocked gaping they shut the hell up. Job done. Roth

It's like Patrick Swayze and his brother: One looks kinda normal/almost handsome, and the other one looks like he's missing a gene or two. Same thing happened to Ron Howard's brother, missing some genes. Anyways, if these two were twins, then JDM is the goofy one and JB is the evil one; like Jeremy Irons and Jeremy Irons in that stupid scary twin movie he did.
About that idea of yours, do you actually WANT to go to jail?

Diane i would never actually do it but im always thinking in my head scenarios and what reaction people would have to weird things.

Probably separated at birth, they totally look alike.

I want to see Possession too, but I'm just going to wait until it's on sale. No hurry in other words.

That just reminded me of when I went to the movies to see "Pay it Forward" and there was only three others in the whole salon...

Annika the only way to see a movie for me is when there are not many people in the theater.

I fully support your scaring strangers plan. When we were teenagers we used to go to these ruins that were in the woods near where we lived that were rumoured to be where the "devil worshippers" met (of course.) We'd stand off to the side of the hiking trails that led in at night and when people would go by would just walk out at them silently as a group. Man, some people can sure run fast.

You would totally love our hometown movie theater, always kind of empty. No idea how they stay in business.
btw, anonymous left an awesome poem/rap/comment on my Going Baroque article. I have a feeling it might be Skywind, unless there's a new genius on the block.
Have a nice day Jim.

TC - Ha! I love it! I used to love scaring people.

Diane - We have a few around here and one is always empty. I think the same thing. How do they stay in business? And there are 10 theaters in it!

I would totally freak out if you did that to me in a theatre during a horror flick. I'm pretty sure I'd turn around and ask what the heck (after I screamed) but then I'd probably laugh...unless you just stared at me...then I'd be freaked out. If you do it, record it!!!

Elsie - yeah I think most people would freak. I bet they would get up and just leave.
