Talking Heads - Life During Wartime Excellent.

I know the Verdant Dude just posted this video on his blog a few weeks ago but I was listening to David Byrne while running and wanted to see this video.

It's the Talking Heads Life During Wartime. How cool is this performance? He's so weird it's great. I love his dance moves at the beginning.

I like his wavy-dancing. And I like how high his pants are on his waist

So you mention me, but don't link to me? WTF?

(Just kidding...I don't really care)

I've always loved that kooky David Byrne. I missed it over at Earl's place so it's too bad you didn't link to it. I would have loved to read what he had said about it. Oh, well. ;-)

Best concert movie ever, IMO. Did you ever see it in a theater back in the day? Awesome.

Two bands in a row, tow iPod matches in a row...and how about all those extra people in the Talking Heads? Imagine keeping that energy up night after night. No wonder Cocaine was so popular in the 80's...

Have you ever seen the David Byrne movie "True Stories"? I really love this movie. It's very very bizarre even more so if you watch it while on drugs.

Of course, I don't think I've ever watched it while not high so maybe it isn't that great. Check it out and let me know.

Pru - I've seen clips of it but I've never seen the whole thing through.

Will have to add to my list.

Thanks.

Perhaps I will revive my blog soley to post the pics and tell the story of the time I went and saw David Byrne last year and then ended up running into his whole band at a bar, and then David strolled in, casual, and sat at the table and we talked music and life. I kid you not, it was amazing.

Great song though. Talking Heads were amazing.

Swedish Chef - would love to hear that story!

As a bass player, I have to say, Tina Weymouth is hot. ALL women bass players are hot, because that's just how that shit works. Byrne is a visionary and a genius and this is one of the best concert movies ever made. Being a deadhead, I missed the boat on these performances while they were happening since I was busy in other arenas. Too bad for me that I did.
