When You're Acting and You're REALLY Acting. The Campaign.

Here are some random thoughts on acting in some movies that I've seen lately

The Campaign - Pretty funny. Zack Galifianakis is a riot. Great to see him play a role that's completely different from what he usually plays. Not great but enough laughs to make it worth it. Some laugh out loud parts.

Total Recall - This movie didn't get the best reviews but I liked it. I never really liked the original to tell you the truth. And Kate Beckinsale of course is hot and plays a badass. Ohhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaahhh.

Hope Springs - This is about an older couple that doesn't have a love/sex life anymore. I enjoyed it but pretty depressing. You're basically watching a couple go through marriage counseling. Meryl Streep as usual is phenomenal. I'm thinking of calling her up to see if she wants to do a project together. When it was over I heard one lady say to another, "Now I'm depressed."

The Dark Knight Rises - Pretty good movie as Comic Book movies go. (As you know I'm not a huge fan). Joseph Gordon Levitt was great however. I'm predicting he's going to be an A-lister soon. And of course Michael Caine was great.

Moonrise Kingdom - Another quirky movie by Wes Anderson. It takes place in the early sixties on a small island off of New England. A boy and girl run away together. I liked it. No standout performances but Kara Hayward - the girl - is good given that this was her first movie.

There you go. Did anyone see any of these movies?

Any reason you posted that pic of Joseph Gordon-Levitt with one of the Riddler? You've seen the movie, so you know the character he really plays (or will play in the future).

Earl - Damn! Carelessness. I Google his name and that picture looked good.

And great ending huh? The whole theater erupted in clapping.

I havent seen any of them.
My son saw the campaign and liked it.
I will wait to buy the Blue Ray of the Batman, since we already have the first two.
I will also wait and rent Total Recall and even then, its ONLY for Kate Beckinsale. I really like Joseph Gordon Levitt, been a fan since Third Rock from the Sun.
I will definitely see Hope Springs...cause its a chick flick, and Im definitely a chick...but Im a cheap chick, and will also rent that sucker...

I go to the movies once every few months due to lack of funds, but I did just happen upon a free movie pass. Thank you for helping to guide my selection!

Choleesa if i had to pick one i would pick the campaign.

Mp well get out there.

I thought Levitt was good in 'Inception. Way better than DiCaprio who's a little too heavy-handed for my taste. Like, he's always taking himself too seriously. I liked Levitt a lot, though.

After your post, I'm giving 'Moonrise Kingdom' a second look.

Suze i agree with you on dicaprio in the last few movies. Enough with the intensity.

zack G is hysterical, so I'll keep a lookout for The Campaign.
Love Meryl Streep, and being that I'm a bit older, I might find some laughs in the counseling, even if it's not supposed to be funny.
Moonrise Kingdom is the one I really want to see. I bet it's the best thing Bill Murray's done since Lost in Translation.
Saw the Batman flick at the drive-in, meh. Nice ending, but I didn't really see what all of the commotion was about.
So, going on a lot of movie dates lately? That's awesome.

Diane - I actually like going to movies alone. Around lunch time. I've been doing it for years.

Annika - Well get out there.
