Man Never Ate Cottage Cheese. Other Food Things. Zagnut Bar.

Some random thoughts on food:

- Do you know what food I've never eaten? Cottage cheese. And I have no desire to ever try it. And I might even like it. Something about it grosses me out.

- I've also never had rhubarb or a date. And I've never eaten goat or rabbit. But these are all things that I would try. And did you know that goat is the most consumed meat in the world?

- I haven't seen anyone eating a Zagnut candy bar in years. Not sure if they even still make them.

- I have no use for coconut.

- I want to start eating more papaya. Maybe make a salsa with it and put it over fish.

- Stouffer's Lasagna isn't bad when in a bind. But I can't think of any other frozen food dinners I would ever buy. Brand of frozen food dinners I should say.

- Ellio's Pizza is the worst. I'm not sure how they even sell it. Not only does it burn the hell out of the roof of your mouth but it tastes like thick cardboard with crappy sauce and cheese. Here's what it looks like:

And that concludes my worst post ever. It was kind of Larry Kingish don't you think? When he lists off random crap in his newspaper column?

And one more thing. Please leave any suggestions for posts in the comments area. Or questions that you have for me that I can write as a post.If I use it I'll give a link to your blog.

But did I tell you I love Malted Milk Balls?

Dr Zibbs said...

...and I've never had White Castle either.

Cottage cheese is awesome. And good for you. Low carb. The key is to not attempt to chew it...just swallow it like jello.

Dr Zibbs said...

Cameron - Maybe I'll try it someday.

oh my god Malted Milk balls...I'm gagging just thinking about those chocolate coated, moth repelling nightmares disguised as candy.

P.S. each time, I have more and more trouble with the captcha. I am definitely getting old.

TC - Haha! And I use to call Malted Milk Balls "Charles Neslon Reilly's" for no other reason that they both have three names.

And I agree with the Captcha's but I was getting spam so I had to add.

No use for coconut...I may need to unfollow TBY....Sigh.

Rhubarb sux. If you have ever eaten lasagna, odds are, you have eaten cottage cheese.

They call coconut milk 'white blood' because it's so good for you.

Those 'pizzas' look super nasty.

I'm with TC, the captchas are getting more and more ridiculous. I'll tell you a secret. I bitched about captchas on another guy's post who asked about them and I told him they were driving me crazy on another blogger's posts because his was one of my favorite blogs. Guess who I was talking about?

I think you should do a series on cheesy-ass commercials from the 70s and 80s. Or maybe nightmare holiday memories from your childhood or odd jobs you had as a teen. How about crazy stuff you've picked up looking for collectibles -- like that one nun post. That was hilarious.

All right, that's it for me. If I think of more, I'll tell ya.

Btw, lasagna has ricotta cheese, not cottage.

Dr Zibbs said...

Nope. Just dont like it. Unless its in rum

Dr Zibbs said...

You mean ricotta? I love that.

Dr Zibbs said...

Tc ive written on all of those subjects but there has to be more stories in me.

Dr Zibbs said...

...and meant to say "Suze" on last comment not "TC."

I love White Castle hamburgers and every time I go home I get them fresh. When I get a craving, I'll settle for some frozen ones but it isn't quite the same.

Those pizzas look as horrible as the Tortino's I had the other night.

Ideas for blog posts: bad manners in today's youth, changes in clothing styles over the years, or haircuts, your high school crush...

Elsie - and I think there's a White Castle an hour from here but just not worth the drive.

And thanks for the suggestion.

Anonymous said...

Totally worth the drive! Just be sure to bring some Pepto Bismal along too.

Cottage cheese is DISGUSTING (as is all cheese) but riddle me this batman.

At what point in history, did someone say, "Hey look! The milk has curdled! Let's plop it in the middle of pineapple ring on a leaf of lettuce and eat it!"

Don't get it. Same thing with blue cheese. "Hey, the cheese has gone moldy! Let's crumble it over a salad!"

"The cream has gone sour - let's put that on a baked potato!"

Just.don't.get.it.

How can I respect a man who has yet to have a gutbomb (White Castle)???

My world. She crashes.

Future post? Hmm. I'd like to hear your thoughts on baths.

No?

I'll keep thinking. :-)

Honestly I like cottage cheese if it is a tad dry and not too wet. This product tends to sell in smaller curd and with less liquid on the West Coast and for some reason becomes wetter and larger curd (which I cannot stand) the further you travel East. Very odd. My wife eats it with applesauce but not me! Do a post sometime on where your inspiration for the name 'The Blue Yak' came from! W.C.C.

Yes, I know, but it is also made with cottage, just depends on who has made it. Your challenging a cook here.

For worst post ever, you sure got a lot of comments.
About the cottage cheese thing, it's probably the texture that puts you off. Personally, I love cottage cheese, it's a good source of lean protein (no jokes please). It fights cancer too.
zagnut bars are still available in most gas stations, around here anyways.
I can't eat lima beans, reminds me of bugs. Oh, and tripe, ewww.
Ok, so get off the computer already, and take a walk with that new girl of yours. It's a beautiful day.

Thanks for all the comment. (Bama noted. I would probably like it in a lasagna)

Diane i wish i could go for a walk with her but because of several circumstances i cant see her everyday right now. Cant wait till i can.

Rhubarb crumble pie with custard sacue, awesome. Cottage cheese, not awesome ~ but good diet food.

I've never eaten "weird" food, could be because I don't have "weird" enough friends (or friends at all, hahaha).

Unless donkey counts.

Dr Zibbs said...

Annika youve eaten donkey? How was it prepared?
