West Chester Dancer Confesses Dance Thing Concerning Lawrence Welk

Um. OK. I've got something to tell everyone.

If you're a reader of my blog you know that I love to dance. And I talk about my skills. Or "Skilz" as many negro wannbees call it.

But sometimes you see a man like Billy Burgess and you...and you basically feel like a fool. Because you wonder if you can ever get to this higher dance level that this Lawrence Welk dancer has gotten to.

Basically he's light years away from me in technique and soul. And soul CAN'T be taught. I'm told. I thought I had it but I think now I may not have it. Whatever IT may be.

This should explain what I'm talking about:

How I Used To Annoy My Siblings. Dancing.

I’m always amazed at how little my two kids argue because when I was growing up I used to torture my siblings.

There were five of us. I have 2 older sisters and a younger sister and brother. One of my standard tortures was to dance in front of the TV. But I'd actually wait until a pivotal moment in the show. Then I would walk toward the TV slowly and pounce in front.

Let the dancing begin.

“Move!!” They’d yell.

“Yeah right. I haven’t performed this yet..” Then I’d break into my dancing. I usually found that I could annoy them the most if I had a shit ass grin on my face and zombie eyes. The dance would always start out as tap dancing, then I’d throw in a bit of ballet to mix things up. Once the “Get out of the way!” screams got louder and I knew that I had limited time I’d do my finale which was that tap dancing move where you do the thing where you look like your running (while leaning forward) while alternating your straight arms forward then back. (What’s that move called?)

The other finale move was the one where you swing your arms in wide circles while doing crazy tap dancing with your feet. I really should know the names of these moves since I've been performing them all these years.

Oh and I don’t want to forget my other famous dance. The Tissue Dance. This is another dance - all self taught mind you - that I created that uses tissues as props. It’s a ballet/interpretive dance where my body actually becomes one with the tissues.

It’s really hard to explain in words. I’ll just have to show you when I see you.

Electric Boogaloo Puppet Boozer And An Apology And Dance Offer.

On May 24, 2009 I wrote this post about Soul Train and mentioned that the third dancer was not proud of his robot boogaloo dancing style. You remember that date though. You probably have it marked in your "THAT BLUE YAK post calendar" that you keep to track all of my posts.

Well, his name is Puppet Boozer and he chimed in with a comment just the other day. His comment was:

"Just to clarify...I am the fourth dancer "Puppet Boozer". There was no embarrasment or timidness. We were proud, excited and a little nervous. We were also very young, I was 19 at the time. You need to take a closer look my friend. When you have been in our shoes as innovators introducing your craft to the world...then you may able to critique a with a little more clarity. Keep dancing...

PB"

And I do believe it was the real Puppet Boozer that left this comment. So I would like to apologize to him and to really show I'm sorry I'm offering to dance with him sometime if we ever meet. Well, dance on the same floor with him.

And believe me. I'm good. You'll see. Everyone will be like, "Whoa!! Look at that move!". You know how it gets.

Oh You Better Get the Party Started Bitches. West Goshen.

I'm about to leave for a cocktail party. I wish I had this song to blare on my phone when I walk in. It's just embarrassing for the hosts that I have to call ahead and have it played when I walk in.

The Whitest People In The World Dancing. The Video.

I hope you're prepared because you won't believe your eyes with what you're about to witness. Here is a video I found on the Youtube with possibly the worst dancers I've ever seen in my life. If bad dancing were art, this might just be the Sistine Chapel.

It's some Swedish pop group but what you should be looking at are the dancers. Be sure to watch this one until the end to see some of their horrendous mighty white people dance moves. You won't believe your eyes.

Can you do some of those dance moves? Go ahead. Get up from your computer and give it a try. Don't forget to stretch first. And make sure nobody is looking.

By the way, the song's called, "I Want To Love You Tender".
