Pac Man Fever - Video Game Song That Never Should Have Been Made.

Isn't it great when you hear a song and it brings back some great memories? Sometimes it's even a cheesy song. It doesn't matter. Then once in a while you hear a song and it just pisses you off because there was no need for it. Take for example the crappy song Pac-Man Fever by Buckner and Garcia. View the Youtube Video here.

So here's the really scary part. In addition to singing about Pac Man, these Buckner and Garcia characters also wrote songs about Donkey Kong, Footprints in the Sand and a song called, "E.T. I Love You". Huh?

I think I feel sick. If you want to learn more about these guys, here is their website.

This post brings up a good question... what is your favorite guilty pleasure song? (You know... the one that you blast in the car and sing along to when you're alone and the windows are up.)

I'm good, but thanks... i know enough about them. bad, bad song. it should go away quietly and never be heard again.

Always a Bridesmaid - I listen to the Carpenters at least once a week on my Ipod while trying to fall asleep.

Ooh I'm so lucky to have listened to those songs today for the first time..although it would have been better not knowing about their existence at all..

They're probably living the high life off the royalties. Maybe? I LOVE pacman though.

As they say, even bad publicity is still publicity. Same goes for music.

yeah, that song was shit. It didn't have half the class of the Superbowl Shuffle.

btw, I see you are at 151 followers. When is the next Yak Media Blitz to push for 200?

They must have run out of beer and were too lazy to go to the store.

Are you familiar with Sussudio?

I was on a date once and I didn't recognize the music he was playing in his car at all. I asked about it and he replied that it was a soundtrack of music from a video game.

I met a younger, cuter, and significantly less geeky guy in the next place we went. I finished the date but never saw him again. I dated the new guy for several weeks.

I don't think I ever heard that, and I'm wondering why in God's good name you would lay that atrocity at our feet. I swear I thought I was going to hear a parody of Cat Scratch Fever. My eardrums are bleeding...

Guilty pleasures like The Carpenters are one thing, this was something entirely else.

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
