Dangling Naked Skier Will Never Live This Down. Ever

So I'm sure everyone's heard about the skier in Vail yesterday that was stuck on the ski lift dangling upside down by his pants. Bare. Could you imagine the reality of how embarrassing this is for the dude? Imagine his first day back to work. You know HR had a meeting to tell everyone that, "What happened is NOT funny and nobody is to discuss this situation with Bob. Are we clear?"

I thought that shitting your pants in a meeting would be the pinnacle of embarrassment but this just might be worse. What? I never shit my pants in a meeting...... I'm just sayin'.

And then you've got people making videos like this:

And on a footnote, he was there with his son!

My friend went diarrhea in her pants while she was officiating a fake wedding for an English class she was teaching in China. It was supposed to be a little cultural activity. Nobody talked about it later.

So who do you think will need more therapy? The ass man or his son?

Erin Alberty - you need to write a post about that!!

I have great friends that would rather shoot video of me instead of helping me off of the lift.

my friends would shoot video too .. yanno, after they regained consciousness from damn near laughing themselves to death.

Maybe this will spur a family discussion of "why we should be comfortable with nudity" between butt guy and his son and they will be closer because of it. They'll laugh, they'll hug, then they'll have a mug of cocoa and all will be right with the world.

Or, the poor kid will become a "never nude", forever wearing shorts in the shower and while making love to his confused but very understanding wife in later years.

Why am I thinking "Pinata"? They've got ski poles, right?

And was he yelling, "SHRINKAGE!" I thought I heard that echoing on the breeze the other day.

Maybe he should've been more specific when he asked the genie for his 15 minutes

There HAD to be some smart ass throwing snowballs at him while he was stuck there.

Just saying...

I wonder if the son checked out the dad's 'equipment' to see what his future had in store for him.

Then again, depending on how cold it was, he might be scarred for life.

I used to shit my pants in meetings, but then we decided to start meeting in the bathroom, which made the problem disappear. Poof!!!

This would be bad. I guess he can try to play it off as a joke. It could work. I don't know how else to save face.

Happy Birthday!

I assume you will have a posting up soon to act as a basket for your well wishers to place their card. Not sure I want to make a "blow out the candle" reference on a posting with a naked guy's junk hanging out.

Just saying.

I always hope that people can take a situation like this in stride. It would be awesome if he went on the Late Night show or something and was able to say "yeah that kind of sucked but I'm pretty sure I can ski for free the rest of my life". Happy Birthday and thanks for stopping by my blog!

Adriana - they actually did a spoof of the dude who got caught on the lift by having the actor come out then as he was talking, his pants were ripped off from behind. This was on Conan.

How come when I do this everytime I go skiing I get "asked to leave" and "never to return again". But when this guy does it he becomes a celebrity. BS!

Also, you're everywhere Zibbsy, I just saw you postin' on the Wawa2010 page from who knows when... (they're all highschool friends of mine).

I'm sure he probably spent hours explaining to his son about the effect of cold weather on certain parts of the male anatomy, and that he (the son) really does have something big to look forward to when he grows up.
