West Chester, PA , East, Henderson, Hangouts

This video is mostly for the West Chester locals. It's a video that someone made for the East High School Class of 1988 reunion. As a graduate of the superior high school - Henderson - I will say that it's pretty good work for someone that went to East.

Some of the local hangouts shown are: The Exton Drive-In, The DK Diner, The Guernsey Cow, The Goshen Fair, Pulsations, Price Street Burger King and Jimmy John's*. Oh the memories. To view it, click here. What memories do YOU have of these places? Hmmm?

The one obvious place that's not shown is The Downingtown Farmers Market. If anyone has pictures of that dump, please, please post them online and leave a link in the comments section. I'm begging you!

*And good bye to artist Andrew Wyeth. A Chadds Ford resident who ate at Jimmy John's many times.

Nacal Langa - looks like a blatant advertisement for your blogs but since I'm in a good mood today I won't delete your comment.

Thanks for your nice comment; I don't know how you found me, but I'm glad you did. I really loved this video, we had a lot of the same businesses where I was living in Bucks County, Pa.
I also scrolled down (which I don't do with everyone, I can tell you) to see your other posts. I really like your page. I'll be back.

Your stories were slightly amusing, nothing like Nacal Langa mind you, but amusing anyway.

Getting back to the subject...holy rewind, I forgot about all those places. I must say I have visited all of them and had a hell of flash back montage while viewing that clip. I am not only a 1991 East Viking graduate, I play one on TV. Pulsations is by far the most hilarious. Oh the times we had with that ceiling descending robot. Good times...good times.

Small one - hahaha. That robot was so cheesy but I remember it was state of the art back in the day.

It got fresh with me once. From then on I wore all black, listened to The Cure and hung out in the "Alternative Room" there.

I once visted a bar called Pulsations, but I just had a beer and left quickly. It was full of East High Schoolers and I didn't want to be seen with them.

Local joints are the best! Too bad so many are gone..Around here, it seemed like every High school had one that was theirs...

Oh, the Cow. I went to a summer camp up above Eagle and my parents would always take me there on the way home. I remember when there was nothing on Route 100 between the Malvern Savings Bank and the turnpike entrance. Just nothing.

My friends and I tried to go to Pulsations exactly once. They wouldn't let us in because one of the guys had jeans on. But I actually remember before Pulsations, when that place was a restaurant called the Longhorn Ranch. The waitresses (one of which was my mom) wore cowboy outfits and hats and had cap guns they'd shoot off if you were there for your birthday.

I'm going to have to do this in small chapters! I am an graduated from East in '83 so I have memories from ALL these places. I worked at Karmelkorn at the Exton Mall in high school. During the summer in college I worked at the Ground Round.

We would go to Pulsations all the time with fake i.d. I never went there after I turned 21. The DQ and McDonald's were always a place to go drunk or stoned and see who was there.

Gurnsey Cow was a place to go with mom and dad, I never went there with friends. I'll finish later. That was a fun video.

C Court - I knew you'd be chiming in. The Karmelkorn huh?
