Siamese Twins Art Contest Winners On My Famous West Chester Blog.

Remember that post I wrote about the Siamese Twins and one dies but it stays attached to the brother? To read it, click here

And then I asked people to draw pictures of the characters? I thought I would be flooded with submissions but then I remembered that when people have to do something that requires any effort they don't do it. But on the other hand, when they're getting something for free, everyone comes out of the woodwork. Like the time I gave readers nicknames last year.

Which is why - sadly - I only received two submissions.

So here we are. The runner up for this contest goes to a young man named Scope. Look at the beauty of this art! There is no way he took 30 seconds to throw it together. And if you use your imagination, it KIND OF looks like a Siamese twin and his dead brother. Not a ghost standing behind a shadow.

Want To Make Me A Blog Header? Contest Alert. Graphic Designers Needed.

I'm getting sick of my blog header. In case you're wondering, that's a picture of my deck and the racket is an electric tennis racket I use to kill wasps.

Anyways, I need a new header. Whenever I see great headers like on Avitable's blog or Whiskey Marie's blog (she changes it every few weeks) or Lilu's blog I get really jealous.

So how would YOU like to design my new header. If you want to, here's what to do:

- Design it and make sure it says "THAT BLUE YAK" clearly.

- Make sure that you save it in a format that's easy for me to open AND easy for me to put on my blog.

- And here's the great part - (talking like Ted Knight from Caddyshack): And why don't you just put "blog header designed by 'Your blog name here'" up there on the header too? hmmmm? Hmmmm? This way you'll get some advertising for your blog.

- I will leave the header up for at least two weeks! But I get kind of lazy so I may leave it up for months! Can you imagine?

- For the super lazy, just leave your header idea in the comments section. I encourage readers to steal the ideas and make them into a That Blue Yak noble creation.

And for the losers, you can post your losing header on your blog and I'll write a special post linking to it. Who knows, maybe I'll eventually use them all.

Blogger's Choice Award. Who Wants To Nominate Me?

So if you click here - you can see the Blogger's Choice Awards. I was going to nominate yourself but I don't want to look like one of those people that tries to promote his blog.

..hahaha - not that YOU guys don't know that. I'm thinking about the potential future bloggers that might be reading my blog.

So does anyone want to nominate me? If you do, it'll say right there on the page that YOU were the person that nominated me. And you will hold a special place in my heart until the end time.

Who Wants To Interview Me? I'd Like To Find Three Bloggers.

Do you want to interview me - Dr Zibbs? Here are the steps:

1) Calm down.

2) If you're interested - email me telling me that you want to. Write, "Interview Zibbs" in the subject line. You can find my email address in my profile. Don't forget to tell me the name of your blog.

3) After I get three bloggers that want to interview me, I will write "The lines are now closed" in the comments section. So before you email me - make sure that the lines aren't closed.

4) The three winners can then write their interview questions and email them to me. Ask me 5 - 10 questions. You can then write a post that should be posted on Tuesday of this week. The post will show the "interview" that we've had. And you can add any other stuff you want to in the post as well.

Eagles vs Giants - Another Prediction From West Chester PA

So I was pretty close with my prediction last week of the Eagles Vikings game. I will now tell you the score of the Eagles Giants game today. The score shall be 16 - 14. The Eagles will win.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go to Wawa to pick up some coleslaw. The slaw will be topping the pulled pork sandwiches I'll be inhaling during the game. Go Eagles!

I Will Now Announce the Winner of My Blog Friend Contest

Oh it's a big day here at That Blue Yak because I'm going to announce the winners of my Dr Zibbs is My Best Friend Contest. First of all, the winner gets to say to others "Dr Zibbs is my best friends." Now let's make it clear that in no way will I say or imply that YOU are my best friend because my 4 BFF's are:

- Falwless - because in June she wrote BFF next to my name on her blog roll.

- Lydia and Candy - Lydia asked if we could be best friends and Candy gave me an award for being BFF. It's official because it looked like a credit card.

- Gwen - Because everyone knows that we have the special blog bond. Not unlike the bond that Unicorns and trolls have in real life.

Blogger Proudly Announces Winners of Blog Contest

So originally I was going to have 1 winner for The That Blue Yak Google This Contest and 2nd and 3rd winners. Instead. Since the pictures I received were so great, I will be having 1 grand prize winner, which will be announced later today or tomorrow and 6 runner ups.

The contest rules were simple, to write "Google this: That Blue Yak" on something and send me the photo. I don't know about you guys, but when I tell people about my blog and I throw in the "blogspot.com", it just confuses people. So I just tell them to Google "that blue yak." It's much easier.

Meadowlark from Just Wandering Through - another new reader, she found my blog through Jennifer's blog. I love this one. Look at the skull and the proud gold man trophy, leaping..as if jumping toward a dream...both regally displayed atop a plain, brown cardboard box. I dub thee, "Dreams..Be it."

Fancy Schmancy - my good blog friend comes through with a creation I'm calling "Hungry Yak " AKA, "Sweet Yak..Let Me Come Hither Within Yawls Loins."

Ms. Florida Transplant from the blog Just a Girl...And Her Dogs - I like to call this simply, "The Beach." Rumor has is that the local authorities built huge sandbags around this masterpiece. Can you blame them?

My Blog Is About Nothing - This reader submitted "Kiss My Yak - the Gnome Files." This new reader really stepped up to the plate. Putting my older readers to shame. Making me realize that there are a lot of free loaders in this world.

Famous PA Blogger Expands Trophy Room

I'd like to say thank you for the three awards that I've won this week. As the awards require actual work, I will be accepting only one. I will accept the Meme from Poobomber.

1) Clothes - I'm comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt but I like to be dressed up. My favorite shirts are the travelers shirts from Jos. A Bank. I also like when I'm wearing a suit because I get a lot of looks from the ladies. And as you know, it's all about my ego.

2) Furniture - chairs.

3) Sweet - Snickers, Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, peanut butter pie, homemade apple pie.

4) City - Nashville - Home of my favorite bar in the world, Tootsies Orchid Lounge. In one night, a drunk girl grabbed my package as she was stumbling down the steps and then later, when I was telling some chick at the bar what happened, she asked, "like this?" and reached over and grabbed my package (I should write a post about that night). Stratford-Upon-Avon - I used to travel there regularly for work. Beautiful English town. Home of Billy Shakespeare. Las Vegas - I hate gambling but I still love this city. Milan - beautiful (stayed for a week in the best hotel in Milan - see picture above). Hong Kong -it's kind of Manhattan if they bussed all the people in from Chinatown.

5) Drink - Good bourbon, Dewers Scotch. Beer: from Yuengling and Corona to most beer from Victory brewery which is about 10 minutes from home. Red wine. Monticello Riojo from Spain is house wine but I love all red wines. Margaritas on the rocks with tons of salt.

6) Music - Van Morrison, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, The Who, The Clash.. see my profile for more.

7) TV Series - The Simpsons - I've been watching since season 1. SCTV, Strangers with Candy, Animal shows, Nova, Tons of Food Network shows.

8) Film - One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Anything Quentin Tarantino, Horror movies but I hate the Saw movies because they're just stupid. Austin Powers, Welcome to the Dollhouse, etc.

9) Workout - I've been terrible with exercising lately but running and biking.

10) Pastries - Croissants, Cream puffs (I feel kind of gay saying a like cream puffs but damn it they're light and tasty).

11) Coffee -Wawa coffee is the best. Unless I'm getting a fancy frap with chocolate or caramel at Starbucks, I think their coffee sucks and it's the biggest scam in modern history.

And like a child that doesn't get way, since the award I created, the 2008 That Blue Yak Postee failed to make it onto more than 5 blogs, I will not be awarding(punishing) anyone with this award. I guess that makes you all winners....or losers.

West Chester PA Blogger Wins ANOTHER Blogging Award - Feather Duster Stocks Sky Rocket

We've done it again, we've won ANOTHER award. (click here to see one of the 2007 awards we've won). You almost wish they'd give it to some of the crappier blogs but then - what would be their incentive to work harder or quit? I knew you'd agree. The award was given to us my And Some Guys Blog. He's a recently new THAT BLUE YAK reader and we've shared "links". The award is the coveted Arte Y Pico Award. I'm sure you've heard of it. And trust me, it's very, very important. The Arte Y Pico blog is one that's written in another language so when you're viewing your Spanish language soap operas make sure to listen closely as they'll probably be name dropping this blog to boost their ratings. Anything for a buck.

So what I'm required to do now is name 5 blogs that I think deserve the Arte y Pico award. Here they are in no particular order:

1) Lots Better Than Your Blog - this is my new favorite blogger by a lady they call Fawless. Her post are SO funny, I'd swear that I'D written them. Not to make you others jealous but she recently asked me for my email address. There's a very good chance we'll be getting it on. Here's a really funny one about a guy she had sex with at work in the back of her car and she kept asking him if, "it's in yet" ..and the guy starts to cry. She also refers to the dude's weiner as a bird. Nice touch.

2) Hometown Hangover - This is a blog written by someone in my town of West Chester, PA. I stumbled upon her blog accidentally and we also have shared (say aloud): "Links". Although we've never met, we're into the same odd pop cultures stuff AND we frequent the same bars. The funny thing is, I know what she looks like but she doesn't know what I look like. I'm sure we'll meet eventually. There will probably be tears. Her name? JDizzle.

3) McGlinch Blog - Even though he has problems staying in the lines, he draws some crazy cartoons. I've known this dummy since 10th grade so part of the reason he's winning is to keep peace in the family. He has another blog called Feed the Ogre. You the people can actually contribute links to it. Check out all of the details.

4) List of the Day - This blog has consistently good lists of stuff. And the commoners can contribute as well.

5) Rider's Blog - At first I was laughing AT Rider because of his unfortunate but hysterical disability - a wooden block for a head. But after a few weeks of reading the words - I've found it very funny. Here's a great recent post of his - that....get this - is about blogging.
